Will Takara do a version of Knock out?

So I'm definitely wanting a Prime Knock out figure, but I'm not sure I'm exactly happy with the Hasbro one... The paint isn't really doing it for me.

So my question is, does anyone have a good guess on the possibility of Takara releasing one? I tend to think the Takara figures look better anyway. I know Takara has done a good number of the cast, hell they even did Skywarp (Which I bought recently and DAMN I'm loving that Skywarp)

So... should I wait and hope for an eventual Takara or should I get the one I'm not really liking all that much?

    Was already solicited, iirc.

Given Takara's cost effective approach to the Rid (Arms Micron) line, i'm not expecting much of an improvement.

I think we're gonna have to wait on a Reprolabels set for this bad boy.

Huh... I thought the AM line was pretty okay. I mean I only have Skywarp from that line and he is just gorgeous.

I'm just hoping for a Knock out that a little more was put into when it comes to the pain.

Skywarp came out well. In large page because they were rather discrete about where they put the Micron ports.

I'd contend Ratchet is a distinct dis-improvement due to large, mismatching color, micron ports, and that Cliffjumper is as well due to being produced in that orangey-red many of us have bemoaned as a sign of Hasbro being cheap.

It hasn't been an absolute failure, but there's enough there to make me doubt that the Takara version of Knock Out will be an improvement.

Thanks! I should have goggled it. but I'm new to the Takara side of Transformers. So I didn't think about that.

Glad to know they're doing one. I'll pick him up and hope to see Thundercracker as well.

Ah, I see. At least for knock out like I said the figure isn't bad. It's the paint that's killing for me. Mainly with the head since the red they used is the same shade as his optics. So it just doesn't make the head look good.

IMHO the only thing the Hasbro Knockout was missing is yellow on the wheels. Everything else was satisfactory enough. Here's hoping Takara gets that part right when they do their version.

Since Takara Ratchet and Bumblebee had a huge amount stickers for their paint jobs, I am hoping Knock Out's two tone look will be stickers too. Then I can just leave those off and have be left with a solid red. I'm glad he ships in June. That gives some time to cancel my pre-order if new pics show him with the same muddled paint.

The Takara version will have giant port tumours that Knock Out himself would be horrified at. It'll be hilarious.

Yes, but it's most likely going to look worse.

Well, I'm holding onto hope that he will be a bit better. I do like the idea of the stickers coming with him. I had loads of fun putting the stickers on Skywarp lol.

Doubt it, some figures had less paint than the Hasbro series in the AM series.

Probably be easier to get TFP Knockout and just paint the rims. I doubt Takara will do it as well.

*AHEM*... even the McDonald's Knockout had paint on the rims, and even though what you've said makes sense Jet, what I said in retort is very and incredibly sad on many levels. If even the MD's toy has paint on the rims, as well as the upcoming R/C version of KO... why can't the Deluxe?? :cry

I don't think the McD's version bothered to paint half the car maroon, did it?

That's where all the paint budget went.

Yeah, I want the rims painted too... but I can easily do that myself without mucking it up too much.
