Corey Burton has already stated he's probably not going to be Shockwave again for the movie, so I doubt he'll do it for the cartoon IF Shocky shows up there.

Brian Warner is in talks for Shockwave in Dark of the Moon was Shockwave in War for Cybertron if not.... Then he wont be in Prime.

Dont quote me on either of these... Just Hearsay to be honest....

I hope so and that they use his comics persona, with him leading a splinter Decepticon faction and serving as a rival to Megatron.

And I would like to see Corey Burton come back if he's interested.

You ask as if we know, which we don't. I'll just say maybe at this point. Also, I'm fairly sure Corey Burton has no interest in Shockwave.

cuz one is not in the movie; does not mean one is not going to want to continue to be shockwave, he probably just doesn't like bayformers :lol

i suspect that shockwave WILL be in the series; around june; right before the movie comes out, it would be a perfect way to introduce kids to the character :)

though i suspect it will be closer to the new movie version, then the g1 version.

It would be cool if Shockwave appears in TF: Prime. Be neat if Corey Burton reprises his role, but I would be open to other VAs.

From what I remember reading, Corey Burton never said he wasn't ever going to voice the character again. He just basically said he has no interest in voiceing him for the movies.
He apparently tried out for some voices for the 2007 film and didn't get them, so maybe he's just bitter. :p

If Shocky shows up at some point in TFP, I think Burt would probably be more then happy to reprise the roll for the TV series. Unless the studio has other plans, or he's unavailable at the time.

with transformers prime being a full return to the orignal generaion 1cast of characters it would be insanely awesome if they could manage to fully reunite all of the surviving voice actors that still happen to be in the business who would be interested in the matter

right now you could knock me over with a feather just from the fact they got frank welker and peter cullen to return to voicing optimsu prime and megatron on the show

Will he be in it? Yes, he's a major character in the franchise, and he's a major character in the third movie. Probably second, third season at the latest.

Will he be voiced by Corey Burton? Absolutely not: he doesn't normally perform with the people that make up Prime's voice cast, and if you really think the production crew cares about getting anyone back aside from Cullen and Welker, you're dead wrong. Michael Bell was denied, and he won't be the only one, mark my words.

I'm not about to predict who it might be, as the cast is made up mostly of people who either rarely voice act or have never done a single voiceover session in their entire lives. It could honestly be anyone.

You actually think Hasbro plans that far in advance and would time things that precisely? That's cute, you're cute. :)

To the heck with Shockwave, the Animated version was cool enough, if we gonna have characters just because they were in the movie, give me THE FALLEN!

It's 99% likely that some or all of the Thirteen Apostles of Primus will be showing up in at least a few of the show's 104 episodes. Patience.

Expect plenty of posturing and boring exposition! :)

Now that would most likely be a cameo role, no doubt like the Rock!

Good, because I'm tired of the whole THE THIRTEEN THING never getting anything to it.

We get hints hints hints and hints and nothing, the only two times we almost got something good of it both productions got Pat Lee'd and Michael Bay'd.

I wish I could share your enthusiasm, but I prefer my characters and scenarios more grounded. And it doesn't get any less grounded than a demigod.

But hey, at least Optimus'll finally have someone to have dramatic conversations with. :\

Then you're in a bit of a huge bad luck there, because Unicron just got mentioned and that dude is literally groundless.

    And a FULL GOD.

Did you think I'd be so nonplussed with Prime if I didn't already know that?

I'd posit that there's a chance he'll remain off-screen the entire show, but I'd only be fooling myself.
