So... you think Megatron will die again in this movie? or will he get away, leaving audiences to ponder what happens until 2011? Or is it 12? heck- I don't remember.

I say we start making some bets over if Megatron bites it again or not.

    $20 says he lives!

I doubt he'll die again, if he does it has to be for good. Can't keep having him come back each movie.

He'll probably get messed up badly but Soundwave will drag him away at the end.

In that case Megatron has to say "Don't leave me Soundwave" then Soundwave has to say "As you command Megatron".

I really hope that they don't kill him, that would just be old.

Megatron being killed at the end of the first movie made sense, in the film sense of "what if we don't have a sequel?". Makes the film a nice stand alone.

But for the second, it's clear there's a bit of a franchise thing going on, and I have a feeling Megatron may retreat, but he won't fall.

I agree. Killing him again in the second movie and then bringing him back to life in the third will be crazy.

Yeah, they should keep killing him and bringing him back inexplicably like Kenny in South Park. Keep it lighthearted. Hell, they should kill him twice in one movie if they can make room for it.

The Fallen will be sacrificed for a "happy ending" this time around. Devastator will probably be killed too, so that is double the "happiness."

Megatron has a good chance of survival this time.

I make now assumptions on the movie franchise other than it never makes sense.

so that being said if he does die be prepared to hate the result as it could be he just comes back again or possibly as galvatron. Really whats the incentive for the movie peolple to do anything right they think this thing is a slam dunk after the first one.

Yeah, Megs gets to toss Devastator and The Fallen in front of any gunshots or cube hold-ups this time around.

He's getting out of there alive.

He probably wont die but it would be cool to see him completely f***** up as a cliffhanger.

Unicron could rebuild him in TF3 :)

I think he'll live. He needed to die in order to bring a solid climax last time, but Devys and the Fallen can take that role now. Besides the only way I see he'll die is if they go for Unicron bringing him back as Galvy next time, which I doubt.

man i thought i was the only one that noticed, Kenny kept on coming back after dying.
Anyway, I agree with johndoe... having megatron die in the second film would just make it too light hearted. The story tellers would need a VERY good reason to justify that.

Cuz the way I see it, it would be just as rediculous as ressurecting Jazz and killing him at the end of the movie.

no i dont see megs being killed. I think he will be the one standing at the end no prime.

Altho i see megs getting really messed up by jetfire/prime combination and maybe soundwave helping him out.

I am hoping bay follows Starwars/empire strikes back sorta storyline.
The autobots had there big win in the first movie and the cons looked like a joke.
This movie needs to be dark like empire.Have the cons come to earth and the autobots/humans really have there hands full have it that they stop the sunharvester/Fallen cause otherwise no 3rd movie if the earth is dead.
Have prime dead at the end and the autobot cause looking lost and in the 3rd movie can see the autobots kill of megs for good

Maybe they are saving a renaming for a more 'substantial' rebirth. I mean, They are rebuilding him from parts of dead Cons. For him to become Galvy, I think it would require a more mystical type of transformation.
