I would argue with his logic, but then I remember that he played a useless character in that stupid X-Men Origins Wolverine movie. So instead I'll just look up pictures of his ridiculous Super Bowl outfit and laugh.

Probably fishing for a voice-acting gig.

If only Transformers could've encouraged him to spell 'William' correctly.

He probably thought it was spelt 'Trans.for.mers'.

Anyway, I think being able to create a whole song on computers would've still happened even without Transformers. I'm thinking Star Trek has done more to make real world technology advance than Transformers ever did/will.

It's nice for Transformers to get a namecheck. Just a pity it was by the uncool William there.

Everybody's seen the "Rock That Body" video with the robots and stuff, right? :)

Sorry, but G1 Soundwave (and Frank Welker) had already made autotuned voiceovers way cooler than Will.I.Am ever could. (Do people still like autotune singing in their music these days though?)

Still cool the Transformers franchise can inspire artists though.

He's actually a HUGE Transformers fan, he said Cybertron one in that one song, with the tune.

    I like that one comment.

"He got Robots confused with his laptop."

Didn't know there was fan hate for Will.i.am. I always thought it was cool he didn't hide that he was a fanboy. The 'Boom boom boom' song even mentions Cybertron.

Fully computerized songs? Has this guy never played anything from an early gen. video game console?

I think that was more of an attempt to get onto the ROTF Soundtrack more than anything.

To bad it didn't. Song was way better then any thing else they've thrown on the soundtracks.

It was in GI Joe I think. Not exactly praise, but, still a Hasbro thing...

Not the biggest fan of will.i.am or the Black Eyed Peas, but I love their old song "Where is the Love" to death. And it's cool to hear a shout out to Transformers, I suppose.

I don't normally do this but...

Being inspired as a child to work with electronics, even as a musician, doesn't mean that he's saying he invented shit or that he's fishing for a soundtrack slot, and it doesn't mean he needed to be rocking a 2600. References and shoutouts to Transformers have been common for decades in hip-hop, and he's just another fan using what he loved as a kid in his music.

I'm not laughing at the fact that he's a Transformers fan or that he references them in his songs. I'm laughing at him claiming that Optimus Prime is the reason why he can create music on his computer in this day and age.
