Seeing in the next few months we will be getting Night watch Optimus, G1 colored Optimus and many other movie character repaints plus G1 colored Ratchet/Starscream/Jazz, Thundercracker are on the shelves already. Will a Megs repaint be not far behind?
Could Has do the leader class Megs in G1 colors or G1 galvy colors?

They've done a repaint of the Voyager mold in more movie accurate coloring. Personally, I don't see them doing a repaint of the leader class figure.

I'd say so. Leader Prime & Brawl are getting repaints, why wouldn't Megatron? This is Hasbro. Very few figures' molds are released once (repainted or otherwise).

I hope so! I don't own Megatron. I see him in the stores all the time, but I detest the colors they used with baby blue and the red (I guess it's supposed to be red) on his wing parts being baby pink in actuallity.

I'd like this mold redone in nearly almost all BLACK with glowering red eyes!

    Then I'll buy.

There are only 4 characters I do not have:

Megatron - pathetic paint as currently offered
Starscream - too small, bad alt mode
Blackout - too small (sucks as he was a favorite from the film for me)
    Bonecrusher - also too small

But back on topic: I will buy an almost all black repaint of LC Megatron! Great topic.

Hasbro will want quick repaints to fill the line with. But is the current leader Megatron even selling well enough to be off pegs by then?

Although, I still see a lot of unwanted leader Brawls and he's due for a recolor soon.

Could end up as a store exclusive. Target seems to like the metallic toys.

According to what Hasbro said in regards to the premium line, IIRC, we'll be seeing Premium version of deluxe, voyager, and leader molds so...it's possible.

I bought Best Buy Megs today. Pretty toy for an otherwise mediocre voyager. Put a leader version out like this and I'll buy without hesitation.

I can find leader megs all over the place. OP sells out fast, and Brawl sells as well. When I go to a store it's usually 5-10 leader megs, 1-2 leader brawl, and that's it. I don't see Hasbro doing a repaint of megs due to the extremely low popularity of the figure. Sure, part of that's due to paint as far as collectors care, but then again collectors aren't the bulk of the people who are going to be convincing someone to grab it off the shelf and buy it.

I really think Megatron is sitting because of the paint application. Compare him to Prime. Hasbro went the extra mile to give LC Prime an awesome paint application. The only thing I'd have changed is used BLUE LCDs for the eyes instead of the yellow. I wonder why they chose to do it that way: Cyber Stompin' Prime (yes I admit to owning that) has BLUE light up eyes.

yeah. the paint kept me from buying him too. I took one look and went into a giggling fit. I haven't laughed so hard since Mardi Gras Megatron... errr... Cybertron Megatron came out (but when they made the black/silver one, I grabbed that!).

Pink and evil arrogant despot do NOT go well together.

The Best Buy voyager sold well enough, while the standard gray/blue one isn't selling too well. At least on the BB version, the ice chunks look like actual ice. The standard voyager feels a bit like a cartoon character thanks to blue ice. Plus the BB version's ice is colored in such a way that you could just assume them to be chunks of metal he bolted to himself for armor or something.

I would imagine they will, most likely.

My perfect version would be G1 colored, as in Cybertron Galvatron.

Eh, not so much "G1 colored", but a few tiny red highlights in small areas wouldn't hurt.

With that last paint job they have too. They won't let a good toy go out like that.

Though the fact BB Megatron is 95% painted makes me wonder if maybe Best Buy sunk some money into the production run, given they retail for the same.

Though their logic doesn't always make much sense at it, as far as how to release them... this is a taboo board topic already, if anyone wants me to elaborate, PM me.

I expect more movie accurate Prime and Megs at leader size to come out later.
