I'm asking this question because if so, MAYBE there would be a chance to have a Classics Megatron without the safety orange parts, since laws there concerning gun toys are different than in North America...

    Any word on on this?Thouhgts?

No one has heard anything about classics being released in Japan. I hope they do since I'm stationed here in Japan and I can't find them online at retail price.

I hope they do, so they don't have to pay insane amounts to import them.
Spending 20$ +ea on 10dollar figs gets old fast.

I'm a TERRIBLE customizer. Classics Megs in a more G1 and less garish deco will definitely be imported.

I'd import them all if the colors were more true to G1. I love the Classics!

With Tomy apparently hellbent on selling more expensive TFs it seems a little unlikely.

...although i could definately go for Classics Megatron painted in G1 style colours.

USA editions seems to be the most likely release route. They'll be the same as what you can find on general release, with a little sticker.

Agreed with all of the above. There has been no announcement, and with Tomy's attitude towards Transformers (sticking to occasional high end collector items rather than lines), I'm afraid it won't happen. At best they'll go the USA edition route and just slap a sticker on US packaging with no changes to the toys. I would LOVE to get a Megatron without the compromises necessary for the US, but I just don't think it's gonna happen.

As mentioned, even if they did, it would just be a USA edition, the exact same product that Hasbro released with a sticker on it and three times the price.
