Alt Prime and vice versa... I'm thinking about a custom but before I do anything I'd like to get a heads up on any alterations I might have to make.
    Thanks in Advance.

Best way to find out is the same way all other kitbashers find out. Grab the two toys, remove thier heads, and see if they will snap back on. If not, then try to see if you can figure out what modifications would have to be made and if you think you could make them.

No need to ask someone else to do half the work of your kitbash just to tell you if you can do it or not.

No, it doesnt fit perfect. The ball joint on primes body is smaller than than the hole in Grimlocks head. You would have to do a ball joint transplant with a larger ball in order for it to work.

Or increase the size of the ball like I did, using layers of epoxy. Works good, just let it dry for a long time before you put the head on permanently.

I usualy use super glue. Just put a drop on and let it dry and just pop the new joint on.

Last one I did was putting Side Swipe's head on Prime. Fell off like crazy. So I took some extra plastic and soddered it to the head .

But that's the difficult way to do it with a completely destroyed head.

The last one I did was my Trailbreaker Custom. I just cut the ball off of an Alt. Sunstreaker wrist joint. I ground off the ball on Optimus and superglued the wrist joint ball to the post. After it dried I put super glue around the outside of the new joint where the 2 piece came together and I havent had any problems.
