for example a somewhat used box?
like this one:
yes, is this yours nuts? it may score a weak 75, high 70. but its a pre-rub none the less, and should sell nicely with an afa grade to go along with it.
actually missing that gray card in the front. i didn't even realize till now. damn that sux
shit, i'm slipping, looked right past it.
short answer: yes
Long answer: Yes they will. AFA will grade anything. Same with CGC. I once saw Stan Lee's actual copy of Fantastic Four #4 that graded somewhere around 1.5 or some nonsense. The cover was ripped off and taped on, one of the staples was missing, it was creased and worn, oh and it also was run over by a car, twice.
Is that sealed? I ask because it is missing the grey card...They will only grade MISB. They will, however, put it in the nice case if open, but no grade.
The AFA will grade knockoffs as originals, so your slightly battered figure will not be inconvenienced by them.
I saw Stan Lee sign a copy of a cgc X-Men #1 graded .5! The dude said he paid a few hundred for it. I couldn't imagine what those stains were on the cover that warranted a .5, but the guy coveted it. So did people around him. And let me tell you, it looked pretty bad. That grading stuff is like divine right to some people.
I know they do grade open toys, like loose, but I dunno what category yours would fall into cause you have the box n' foam n' all.
They only grade certain toy lines loose and to my knowledge TF's in not on that list.
ah, k, cause I was thinking of loose GIJoe when I said that.
lol, if I have any extra cash to burn one day maybe I'll buy any random transformers toy, keep it IB (lol) wreck it, and send it to AFA and have it sold on ebay or something
