Wii Smash Bros. revealed: Pit (Kid Icarus) and SOLID SNAKE playable! Nobuo Uematsu!

    http://www.joystiq.com/2006/05/10/super-smash-bros-brawl-revealed-for-wii-featuring-solid-snake/

Super Smash Bros. Brawl also does not require the Wii remote and is fully compatible with the Game Cube controller (previously believed to not be an option for Wii titles). On-line multiplayer. Wario, Meta Knight, and suitless Samus are also added to the character roster.

Let the senseless and stunned fan-gibbering commence.

Bah, I knew thread would be made already by the time I got here. Can't fucking wait. Solid Snake? He' a Konami character! I mean, that's so cool. And Kid Icarus, and sexy Samus? There's no way I'm not getting a Wii on launch date now.

Ohhhh this is gonna be sweet. I hope there are other non-Nintendo characters tossed in (c'moooooon Sonic!).

So I'll be buying a Revolution, hands-down. And thank heavens they'll be using the Game Cube controller.

Nintendo, thy name is love. I am all over this.

Plus it opens up the potential for a new Kid Icarus game. About freakin' time for that.

graphics are looking very nice, especially considering that it's in such an early stage (not being released until next year).

NINTENDOG VS. SNAKE. MATCH OF THE MILLENIUM!

Finally... Pit HAS COME BACK... to the Wii.

Seriously, it's about time the big N showed Kid Icarus some love.

I was really surprised by the textures on Mario's jump suit.

And as posters have said, yeah, more non Nintendo characters! Megaman, Sonic, and Viewtiful Joe, each with their own nemesis.

I love the way they upgrade Mario and Link's textures to the Twilight Princess and Mario Galaxy versions during the trailer.

Doesn't need to be. With Zelda and Mario at launch, and Metroid and Smash Bros set for the first year, I don't think there'll be a single Nintendo fan complaining.

No Luigi's Mansion or Pikmin for this launch.

The real question will be if they can keep the titles coming on a regular basis.
