Idiot. Nintendo doesn't decide whether people camp out for a console or sell it on eBay. Blame that on the store, the customers with no life, and the scalpers. The only thing they could have done is to produce more units ahead of time. Looks like they didn't expect to need so many.

Nintendo has been manufacturing Wiis for months now, they have as many as they possibly can. This is a lot like the DS shortages in japan. Even though the DS Lite has been out there for quite a damn while, there's still shortages and lines around stores whenever more come in. Some retailers have started importing US systems, which sell out instantly despite a markup of a hundred dollars or more.

Those people need to realize that everywhere in the world is having Wii shortages right now, and nintendo is doing everything they can to take care of that. Whining about it isnt going to change shit.

Or...gasp...on the idiots who actually do it. They CHOSE to devote two days to waiting for a video game system that will, in the course of a few months, be a regular product.

"So the fact that I had the foresight to pre-order and not disappoint my son means very little as they obviously expect me to camp outside Woolworths for days on end."

HAHAHAHAHAH moron. Yes, Nintendo is ruining your son's Christmas by making a good product that's selling out!

Lets also blame Sony for causing sun burns because of people camping out!

It's Sony and Nintendo working together to kill people; or at hte very least, make them uncomfortable. ha

Gee, what a f**king shock. Game consoles are such a modern phenomenon that there is absolutely no established precedent upon which anyone could have anticipated this outcome. Clearly Nintendo has chosen to screw over loyal customers rather than sell more consoles and increase their profits and market share.

As for the father, I share in his concearn. How can he impart the meaning that God sent His only son to suffer and die for our sins without a Nintendo Wii? Clearly the suffering of the poor, sick and hungry is nothing compared to a child who must wait a few weeks to be entertained.

The lack of Wiis is frustrating me having to tell customers that "No we don't have any in stock and we don't know when we will get more in..." when I'm asked about 500 times a day..

I'm sure it's frustrating Nintendo too. If they could put more systems out there, people would snap them up.

Maybe not, but it does make me feel better.

Both motherfucking Sony and Nintendo absolutely failed in my eyes. I still can't find a Wii anywhere. All the bullshit about actually walking into a store and buying one was a total LIE.

Instead of a Sony I bought 360. Instead of a Wii I bought HD-DVD. Microsoft rocks.

And somehow, someway, this is all Sony's fault.

You know, it was the same way with the 360 a year ago. I'm sure in a year you'll be able to walk into any store that sells them and pick up a PS3 or a Wii with ease.

Indeed, and I *might* buy it if it's at a discount, just like 360. In the meantime, I end up buying 360 games instead of Wii games.
