    Hey

We recently bought a Wii & love the interactivity it brings but was looking for ideas on cool games, and the ones to avoid. We have Wii Sports & Wii Play which it came with, and was bundled free with Sims: Pets. Also bought Transformers with it.
    Any recommendations?

    Regards

    JL

Super Paper Mario, Twilight Princess if you're into Zelda, Metroid Prime 3.

Resident Evil 4 is highly enjoyable. My wife and I had a blast playing Rayman Raving Rabbits.

I was not too thrilled with Mario Party 8.

    Just got a Wii myself.

Picked up RE4 and it's pretty good - And as a bonus, it's only $30. Decided to pass on the TF game, at least until it comes down in price. Not dropping $50 on a title that gets poor reviews.

There's some good sites out there that give detailed reviews of Wii games - breaking it down by categories like graphics, gameplay, etc. Because the whole point of the Wii is the unique controllers and gameplay, that's what I'm looking for first and foremost.

I'd say rent Rabbids before buying it, mine has been untouched for months.

Aside from those recommended, The Godfather and Sonic and the Secret Rings; I know 3D Sonics are generally hated, but I like this one and the multiplayer minigame mode is a lot better than Mario Party.

The only thing about Zelda is that it's a pretty big investment. Not necessarily a large monetary investment but you will certainly have to put in a lot of hours if you have any intention of getting to the end of the game.

Rayman Raving Rabbids is hilarious, should be dropping in price soon since the sequel will be coming out. Could be a good pickup.

If you have the time to invest, I would echo sentiments of getting Zelda and Super Paper Mario.

RE4 is always a bucket full of awesome.

I've heard nothing but good things about Carnival Games and Metal Slug Anthology is a fantastic pickup as well.

Zelda is fun, but short. Still, I can't enjoy Ocarina since I've had a taste of semi-real sword slashing.

    I hear MP3 is good.

    Marvel is fun in multiplayer.

COD3 is pretty good, but for multiplayer, get MOH, I hear there's a new one coming out.

I hear Mario Party takes a while to load sometimes.

From my own experiences being that I own these games, I would recommend...

Zelda Twilight Princess, an outstanding game.
Resident Evil 4, another outstanding game.
Metroid Prime 3 which will blow your mind with it's awesomeness.

i'm gonna go with the flow and confirm metroid prime 3, resident evil 4, twilight princess, and super paper mario... i'd also recommend dbz budokai tenkaichi 2 if number 3 wasn't coming out in 2 months... so you'd be better off waiting there unless you can get it cheap...
but yeah, those are the big 4 games for the wii right now. galaxy and brawl are sure to be hits when they come out too.

I love how people keep saying LOZ:TP is short. All LOZ games have been short.

40 hours is far from short. Or I don't have enough time to play game as much anymore.

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
ys you have to invest alot of time into it. Though fun, somewhat frusrating but always rewarding in the end. Worth the price tag of $50 or find it used for $45 if you msut
    Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition
Even if your not really a RE fan or player, this one will turn you. Alot of fun, takes some dedication, but the controls for aiming are fun and the controls for the chase scenes just make it more interactive. Only $30??? Not bad at all. Doest feel too FPS esque.
    Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
Great artwork and doesnt feel to FPS at all. Like Zelda can be frustrating at times but fun nonetheless

I cant say for Super Paper Mario but I hear nothing but good reviews on it. Or you could save up your dough cause alot of games are coming out soon like DDR: Hottest Party bundle for $69.99 later this month, The Wii Zapper, titles and bundle all come out in Nov. Guitar Hero lll in late Oct and I hear there will be a shortage for it on the Wii. Then Mario Galaxy and NiGHTS in Nov and Smash Bros. in Dec.

    Oh, I don't know.

Oracle of Seasons/Oracle of Ages seemed to go on forever.

If you're looking for reviews/overall scores, try www.metacritic.com

Personally, I recommend the aforementioned Nintendo trifecta of Twilight Princess, Metroid Prime 3, and Super Paper Mario. If your Wii is online, try a few of the VC classics. Resident Evil 4 is also a fantastic choice. You could also rent the newest WarioWare game if wacky minigames happens to be your cuppa tea.

Sounds cool. Im unfamiliar with most of these games, having only ever owned a PC before, but loved the concept of the Wii. Looking forward to more sports games too, would kill for a cricket game but not sure if the controls are that advanced. Also, all games here seem to be $100 each, so decisions must be wise

Metroid Prime 3 not being on everyones list is blasphemy and madness.

Metroid Prime 3 and Zelda are my faves on the system.
