http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=016&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&viewitem=&item=260054601358&rd=1&rd=1 Dude put up a wii for a penny. The shipping charges for over night and priority are crazy, so I told him I wanted it shipped USPS surface mail, and I expect the sticker price to match what I paid. We all know ebay has its new rules that it's against the rules to overcharge on shipping, so lets see if I can actually get this thing for a penny plus regular shipping cost lol if he tries to slap me with a few hundred dollar shipping fee, I'll threaten to report him for over charging on shipping He never listed how much it would cost to ship to canada
like hell is that gonna happen he'll just charge you for normal mail which would be about $30 dollars and not send it out, you'd claim your penny back off paypal which puts you 30 dollars down
Couldn't he complain to Ebay? I doubt two violations (overcharged shipping and not shipping the item) would be ignored by them. Then again, I never used Ebay...
It sounds to me like the guy is a scammer. The item is only $0.01, the postage is hundreds of dollars. If he sells one, then doesnt bother sending it out, the buyer puts a paypal claim in, he only gets $0.01 back, Paypal dont refund postage.
I hate when people do that crap. I have seen Macross Valkyrie with BIN’s of $30 and $200-300 shipping.
Paypal doesn't refund postage? Did they change their policies? They refunded all my money when I had a claim last year.
im pretty sure they do refund postage I'll threaten the guy that I'll be in the area this weekend and I can just pick it up if he doesn't ship, see what he sais I do have his address
Alternativley he may just say it's been sold outside of E-Bay. I enquired about two cheap 360's on E-Bay. Both with no bids at about £1 each, both times I was told the item was already sold.
so my first email I got him from was "sorry my nintendo Wii is broken... i check it when i got home this morning the box is all rip so am going to return it at the store sorry about the misunderstanding." then there was another email "i got an exchange for a brand new one discard the first email i send you i have send you an invoice i will ship you express so you will get it by 2marrow that why the shipping is so much if not it just 599.99 aight get at me instead of 699.99" I replied "Hey there I just want the system shipped regular surface mail, thanks Im not in any hurry to get the system. Let me know how much to ship it USPS surface mail to Ontario K9H 7H5. What is the weight and dimension of the packaging, I can log on to USPS.com and cofirm the shipping price "
you seem to be missing one of the points in the auction. no where on ebay does it say you must charge the buyer the exact cost of shipping. No where.
He types like a caveman. Thag sell for $599.99 or you just send Thag fire, Thag like fire, fire make hot. He’s probably some kid that thinks he can get what ever he wants for it after hearing stories of people getting big money for PS3 and 360’s.
True. But it clearly states that a seller may not overcharge for shipping. http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/listing-shipping.html
09mach1 is correct. its against ebay policy to list an auction for a penny, then charge 600 dollars for shipping, and if he doesn't sell me the Wii + reasonable shipping costs, then I'll just report him and he can deal with ebay. I', only doing this for something to do, I dont expect to get the wii I just hate people trying to scam others out of money. this one shall pay!
