Wii Component Cables Only Available Online

    I think I know what your talking and as to, "3 party" component cables as you call them, i have a combo with 'Cube, PS2 and Xbox. I do hope we get these cables in stores. :)

    That's really the only reason to get the component cables as Wii won't go any higher than 480p anyways

    Sure its frustrating to have to order them online,but the majority of the people who would buy the Wii probably dont even care about having component video. I dont have a problem with ordering them online and I'm sure that anybody who really wants to go the extra mile with the Wii will do the same thing.

    No one in the third party groups made Component Cables for the GameCube. They were a Nintendo only device.

    Something about the patent, and it was a total bitch to reverse engineer. (That's what I read about 2 years back, never could verify that.)

    It is true however, there will be no third party help in this department.

    Damnit, Nintendo got me with the cable the last time (and I still haven't ponied up the dough for it) and we never got the Spyhunter sequels....

    Looks like Microsoft will be receiving more of my money.

    Sounds like got mixed up, are component cables the sames as svhs cables?

    No. Components and SVHS (S-Video) are not the same. Component cables are Red, Green, and Blue and directly connect to each corresponding color drive and their color capabilities.

    It's absolutely the best Analog video you can get. Digital's the next best thing.
