So i went to get the official guide by simon furman, but i dont want to pay almost twenty bucks when it doesnt even include all the transformers from the film in it. Doesnt seem like much of a guide.

my guess is that this book will keep updating. However, I did like the info in it just cause I'm a g1 fan, and it really does a good job presenting the info to people just coming into it(or back to it). But, yeah, it's fairly incomplete, with only the US series, and my edition stops at armada (which is fine, cause I didn't like anything after RID anyway). It'll probably keep updating every so often, just like the star wars essential chronology did after ep1.

And there's no love for Cybertron. They act like the line doesn't even exist.
