Why do the mods allow all of these "My family member passed away" threads? Don't they seem pointless as just clutter up the GD forum after awhile, and they do die out rather quickly. Just something that bugs me and I wanted an answer.

Because sometimes when you have lost a family member you want a shoulder to cry on, and if the forum can provide for that, so much the better. I'm sorry if they clutter the forum up for you, but they do not break any rules, and if they help people to cope with a hard time in their lives, then we are glad we can help.

Can't you sticky a thread to the GD area for lost family members? It allows for a single area of support, and cuts down on clutter.

There is nothing wrong with people expressing their sadness via the forums. We are not making changes to appease you. End of discussion.
