I've seen people here wanting Ironhide added as a character in Prime. I disagree. The reason is not because I dislike the character, it's that we already have a 'Beating the crap out of Decepticons' character; Bulkhead (Duh). Now in the title I said 'yet' because if Bulkhead was to actually die in any future episode (Which I doubt highly), Ironhide would fit as a perfect replacement. Sadly, it would add too many new characters to the team, and he's basically a Bulkhead, just not as boring, I assume. Opinions?

 

If Bulkhead were to be replaced, most people would assume it would be Wheeljack, since he is also a tough badass Wrecker. Granted, Ironhide could be a new addition to the team, but I suppose people would prefer another type of character rather than a replacement bruiser, you know?

 

I would like Ironhide and Wheeljack if Bulkhead were to die. And if so then Chromia should be there too.

 

Ironhide's not gonna show up anyway, so...


And if Bulkhead dies, have Wheeljack join the team and bring in Scattorshot

 

When big green sees red horns again, Wheeljack will take his spot and have to endure the curse of Miko.

From what it looks, Ironhide will not be in the series at all as of season two and three. If Prime goes on beyond season three, who knows.

 

I hope Ironhide atleast is mentioned at some point thought not dead.

 

You're right, we need don't need Ironhide, but we do need a G1 styled Wheelie to replace Bulkhead as an annoying badass with a sling shot cannon.

Despite him having a toy, the folks at Prime says the no plans for Ironhide in the Show...Yet.

I kinda blame his Death in DOTM though.

Well a featurette on the Prime Season 1 Blu-Ray states that Rik Alvarez admitted that because of the death of Ironhide in Dark of the Moon, they didn't want to confuse kids with a living Ironhide. It's likely that the former story was a cover for the latter, for spoiler reasons.

People in charge of cartoons need to stop dumbing shit down. Besides the real reason Ironhide isn't in this is because the Ironhide they wrote was too soft to him so they changed to Bulkhead.
