    That's my doubt.

    That's my doubt.

there have been planned these guys as leader class in DOTM?.

I heard something that in the BotCon Hasbro said that they were working on them but in leader class and never were released.
    But that's true?.

I've been wanting a DotM leader Megs since the movie was out. My collection needs it.

If I remember correctly word at the time was that "bad guys don't sell" according to Hasbro. So no leader Megs. I remember a lot of discussion on the forum about it back then.

I also remember a skyrocket in demand for TF1 and (especially) RotF leader class Megatrons as a result.

    Why didn't Blackout and Bonecrusher?

Autobots sell well, and they we're most likely worried about not being able to see 2 movie Decepticons at the time. PRID/BH never got any large Decepticons besides the big Target exclusive Predaking.

Ironically, we don't seem to get all that many or large movie figures in the past few years. Just 3 waves, an Optimus and Bumblebee.

TLK has Optimus, Megatron, and Dragonstorm. 2 Autobots. Megatron is the first leader Decepticon in a movie line since ROTF.

I can't recall with regards to Leader Class Megatron but I do recall that Hasbro was deciding between Shockwave and Bumblebee. Hasbro eventually when ahead and release a Leader Class Bumblebee. X)

Hell yeah I want a Leader DOTM Megatron!

It's still my favorite depiction of the character since they almost gave him a nuanced personality and a bit of pathos with Carly and Sentinel Prime. But then Optimus just had to go and kill him in less than 5 seconds. D8 Wish we could have seen Megs and OP charge at each other in their respective truck modes and smashing together similar to Ironhide and the Dreads.

Supposedly there's a 3P DOTM Leader Megatron and Shockwave figures in the works and they look pretty good so far.

Edit: Strange that Google Chrome is not letting me edit this post any further (something about rogue code that it may be mistaking as dangerous).

DOTM Voyager Megs was an absolute gem of a figure, leader class would have been amazing.

All things being equal though I'd rather have a leader class Blackout or Bonecrusher.

In the meantime, my 3A Bambaland exclusive Megatron makes for an impressive display piece as are my custom Leader DOTM Megatron and Shockwave figures (both by Forgotten Forest; see sig for more photos), even if they can't transform.

The Voyager figure was great. The Takara Chronicles version (packed in with G1 Megatron) was even better with the extra paint apps. The fact that Voyager Evasion Mode Optimus came with Megatron's hobo shotgun was icing.

basically rotf supreme class devastator and leader class megatron sold like shit.
hasbro took the lesson of "big bad guy toys dont sell"
this was clearly the wrong lesson to learn.
rotf megatron and devastator didnt sell because those toys were absolute shit. especially when compared to the marvel that is rotf leader optimus.

There is that humongous sized KO of Voyager Megatron from DOTM if anyone is looking for a bigger one. But I don't think he scales with Optimus as he's gigantic.

Yeah, those didn't sell well in my part of the world too. Devastator was over priced...

ROTF Megatron...if I recall correctly, those who passed up on him was because of his aesthetics...many found him 'ugly'. The irony I find now is that an increasing number of fans have warmed up to his design. Heck, in my country people buy the KO because the original's price has increased?

Yeah, that ROTF Megatron isn't scaled with leader class Prime if it were so I would have snagged one. Seems like there's a 3P party company that's going to release leader class versions of some of the movie-verse TFs but I need to check their QC before buying them.

Whatever the reason why we never got those two as leaders were I do feel like the fact that we're getting a Leader Class Megatron in TLK line at all is Hasbro's way of apologizing for not giving us a Megatron in Leader size in the DOTM line.

For whatever BS reason we got a leader Bumblebee instead. Would've loved to see leader figures of Megatron and Shockwave

Yeah man, I personally would have preferred either Megaton (especially DOTM) or Shockwave. If push came to shove and we had to choose one, I would choose Shockwave as we already have a Megatron (ROTF).

A display with a Leader Class Optimus, Megatron, Shockwave and Sentinel would really be cool looking. I don't know...its instances like this that are pushing me to 3P products because of the product choices that HasTak are making.

And speaking of that Leader Class Bumblebee...the figure shelf warmed in my country and retailers had to give me a price drop before most of them starting 'moving'.

I'm still bitter that we didn't get a DotM leader Megatron. I wanted one so badly (and still do).

I feel your bitterness, Megatron desperately needed a good Leader figure. The first Movie one was ok (the premium paint version was even better), but his ROTF leader was terrible with its sub-par articulation and "'roid arm".
