It's Bayverse. I've watched the previous 5 movies, so of course I'm going to watch this one too. Plus I want to see how different this feels to the other 5, since they've got a new director.

Back in ye olden days when hair metal bands roamed the Earth we were lucky if something ended up with three movies. We didn't go well I can not enjoy that movie or I can't get invested in that movie because they will not be endless and unchanging forever.

But even in this current age of film making it's possible to enjoy a movie all on it's own. Looking at the box office numbers it seems a lot more people watched Wonder Woman than watched Batman v Superman or Justice League. No one seemed to be turned off because Wonder Woman was a prequel film or that it was not directed by Zack Snyder. Or looking at the box office on Black Panther there are people watching it that did not watch Captain America Civil War where we are introduced to the character.

Plus it's way too early to be calling a judgement on the film. I hate movie Bumblebee but even I'm waiting on the trailers, the reviews, and everything else before calling the movie a pass or not.

    The situation is quite simple.

If you want the Bayverse to have a chance of continuing, see the movie. If you don't want it to continue, ignore it.

If by some miracle the movie can do Jumanji numbers during the holidays then the Bayverse is back in business.

Being a producer doesn't mean much, really.

I'll definitely watch it, even if it's bad. I'm not super critical of movies anyways; I can pretty much enjoy anything at least for a one time viewing. The Dolby Atmos experience of seeing and hearing your favorite robots come to life is well worth the price of admission.

But what if you want Bumblebee to do well and a reboot?

Moving new people up to the directors chair seems great to me because then big movies can be different when it's not the usual suspects in the director's chair. There are a lot of fans of the Bayverse and for those people I'd like for it to be able to end on some sort of high note. At the same time though I'm past ready for some real change to the live action movies instead of more of the same.

I still want a reboot. I actually hope that if Bumblebee do well, we'll get the reboot sooner

I definently won't be seeing it opening night like I usally do, might wait to see if it's even good and if even i'll wait till the second week. I don't really want to support the bayverse movies anymore, I'm ready for the reboot.

Wasn't Bay producer of TMNT? Because I thought he is director of that movie, stupid humour, epileptic action and dumb movie overall.

Sometimes Bay being a producer means nothing.

Ouija: Origin of Evil (a Hasbro movie), I barely noticed any trademarks from him.

A Quiet Place. Would you tell me if that movie was produced by Bay? I mean 'quiet' isn't exactly a word to describe his movies.

Horrors from Platinum Dunes have something in common. Their are dumber than Bayformers.

To each their own, but A Quiet Place looks really interesting.

Purges have been decent. Not good, but successful and entertaining. Which is more than can be said for the Bayverse.
