Now that we know Season 3 will not be the end of Transformers Prime, I wanna know why he said it in the first place?

    We're his words mis-interpreted?

Or did Hasbro not tell him?

Like if I was a voice actor I wouldn't just go out to convention and say "hey guys show's ending"

    What do you think happened?

His words were misinterpreted, I think.

Agreed. I was hesitant about believing something that only came from ONE person. Teaches all a good rule though, wait for the official statement from that person.

Because he never explicitly stated that it was ending. He was probably just referring to the unfortunate but likely death of Ratchet. :(

Possible death of Dreadwing as well since Todd was present with Combs.

stop talking about ratchet and dreading dying, i don't want to cry tonight :(

maybe combs was just supplied the 16 episode tidbit and he figured it might be the end of prime due to the season being shorter.

Or maybe Ratchet and Dreadwing (and Breakdown) are getting their own spin-off?

Combs was quoted as saying "unfortunately". That's a big word for a miscommunication.

Who knows what was really said or who's telling the truth/bending the truth. Bottom line, I seriously doubt any announcement of the cancellation would come from a con not named SDCC or BotCon.

    Don't exactly know what happened.

Its probably or simply he just said something or anything to get the guy off his back who's asking him questions.

(Somewhat the nice way you know beat it, scram, get lost, don't bother me, I'm here because I kinda have to be here.)

He said "this iteration of Prime is ending" and everyone (including myself) jumped to conclusions. I now think the setting/story is going to have a major change. That's all he could have meant.

    I would totally watch that.

I wonder if it wasn't supposed to be revealed that the show was ending and Jeff retracted his statement when he realized he shouldn't have said it. I'm hoping it is going to continue but at the same time I'm skeptical. If the previous information was false, what''s keeping this from being false too?

I don't think anything was false, just badly worded.

he said this part of the franchise was coming to an end, but it looked like he didn't say that it was coming to an end with season 3, just that he had finished recording season 3.

I think he just meant that the people working on the show see the end in sight where they are right now, which would be going into season 4. That doesn't even mean that season 4 is neccesarily the last, either.

or, he could very well mean his role in the franchise doesn't last past season 3.

If that's the case then I guess that may mean Ratchet could die in Season 3.

It would sure suck if Ratchet died. He's my favorite Autobot. If he were to die in a dignified manner that enhanced the story, I wouldn't mind as much.

Not so much a backtrack, more a clarification.
