Well...gestalts would eat away at those numbers quite fast - 4 gestalts and that's half the figures, but nah - that would be too awesome. My guess is that a majority of it will be FOC

    Ha ha ha!

I waxed philosophical on this topic back at ToyFair. I agree with what some of you have said that it is a combination of Fall of Cybertron getting rolled into Generations and Generations 2010-2011 actually doing very well. Note that they are doing a full relaunch of the line with different packaging, and yet...it's still called Generations. SO retailers weren't asking for "a filler line, maybe with collector appeal," retailers were probably asking for Generations.

Plus, Generations has been on shelves continuously for longer than DotM product, and shipped new products to shelves in the US more recently.

I would guess maybe up to half will be legends figures.

Maybe a WfC Starscream and 5 repaints...

Its easy to see where the numbers could go.

I believe that since Classics, there has always been a "Classicsverse" line that went alongside whatever big property is being pushed. It'd make sense to continue Generations, but I thought that the next Classicsverse iteration would have a new name.

    1) Maybe they realized 10 molds of Bumblebee on the floor at once doesn't move product like they think it does?

    2) See 1 but insert Optimus Prime instead

    3) Maybe just maybe, retailers are pushing for Generations from Hasbro? All kinds of movie crap is on the shelf in any store you go to, but Generations has thinned out or gone to non existent in same stores?

Like someone said earlier, most of the time u saw a 5-1 or more ratio of movie to Generations in stores at any given point and which one is still setting on the shelf?

Hell, I find Rescue Bots stuff on clearance at Walmart already lol

I don't like the movies or the figures(have 2, Bludgeon and Banzaitron), nor am I a real Prime fan, but I do love the Generations series so far and maybe their are more folks buying it than we realize.

This seems like a good problem to have folks. I get why the question exists, but.... why ask why??

Probably FOC, maybe Classics combiner teams, a couple of new molds besides those, and most likely an assload of repaints of said molds.

Generations does not limit to any era. Transformers Prime is only for Prime, Movie only movie but generations can be G1, G2, G3(if there is one), Beast war, movie, prime .....

They just need a secondary line they know sells to compliment the Prime toyline. Didn't they do the same thing for Universe 2.0 with Animated line?

Generations is a "catchall" line, which could include Prime, movie, Animated and WFC toys mixed in with Classic-style.

Maybe they're making a TF version of Star Trek: Generations.

There is no real G3 but some have called Classicverse G3. I see the logic in that.

I just hope it happens. Classicsverse is my main collection. If I get 15 good ones out of it I would be happy. Hell, 10 good ones. I do combine WFC with my classics. Gave me a good soundwave and megatron. The rest can be from any other era.
