My younger nephews are obsessed with Transformers, and thankfully I'm to blame for this obsession.

They're also obsessed with monster trucks, which is not my doing. In any case, to my memory there have been no Transformers that change into monster trucks, with the pseudo-exception of ROTF Wheelie, who's really a toy monster truck... with a crappy-looking robot mode.

Were there any monster truck Transformers?

Hmm... looks a bit alien for a monster truck, but... thanks for the info.

I'm amazed that, with all the Transformers toys made over the last 26 years, they seemingly haven't made an Earth-style monster truck.

Update: Okay, I missed the last few posts. Looks like I have some links to click!

    Yup, Mudslinger.

There are quite a few monster trucks in the TF universe. The reason, IMO, that you don't see more is that the robot mode suffers HORRIBLY from having giant tires hanging from it.

They should make a monster truck that transforms the way Brimstone does, with the tires being made of seperate parts pegged together

A monster truck would be the ultimate Decepticon as he can roll over the Autobot cars. Yea, I kind of wondered that too, and I also wonder how Wheelie came to be anyway.

I agree. I don't think it's a problem with the design team being able to make a truck Transformers but what to do with those huge tires. The tires on Mudslinger's shoulders aren't that bad but huge tires on his hands just look to be in the way.

Don't forget Strika! Sure, she's got six wheels, but if she doesn't qualify as "monster", I don't know what does. :D

Cybertron Dirt Boss is love. Also isn't there a Classics Minicon monster truck I liked him, one of the few Classics Minicon that was atleast half decent or could stand up.
