Just make a CGI copy of BumbleBee and switch the colors to Red.
That would be somewhat of a waste.
We didn't need him.
Don't worry, he will show up in toy form, give it time.
Why no Signal Lancer?
lul. It's not the anyone new would change or do anything as it is. They'd be given a line of dialogue and be in background fights.
Also repainting some dude in the same movie who shares the same body as the well known BB would be 1. Lazy 2. Confuse the audience as to why a Red Bumblebee is there.
Not to mention that he's dead in the movie universe, died in the comics, though I suppose that doesn't really matter to Bay.
It was also confusing to some with them starting out with a red car by BumbleBee and later finding out that car wasn't CliffJumper.
If it wasn't on screen then it was cannon. MovieComic, MovieNovel, and Movie are three different storylines.
Wasn't he killed in Reign of Starscream?
I have a robot heroes version of him from the first movie... I think it came with the DVD from Best Buy at the time?
He did... they came out with a Cliffjumper repaint of Movie-verse Bumblebee in the 2007 Movie's All Spark Powered toy line. Also, they had a Robot Heroes toy of him, but it was a Best Buy exclusive for the 2-disc DVD release of the 2007 Movie. I should know, I have both.
Cliff Jumper is too busy being a zombie in Transformers: Prime.
I'm surprised they don't recolor more Bumblebee toys into him.
I'm pretty sure he meant future iterations of movie BB recolored as CJ as part of the DOTM line.
With all of the new molds and retools BB keeps getting, I'm surprised Hasbro hasn't done a few more CJ repaints, especially with the Battle Blades and HA versions.
I don't care if he's in the movie. I want another toy of Cliffjumper seriously Hasbro you make Thundercracker and Skywarp twice but no Cliffjumper?
Cliffjumper isn't dead in the comics. Just wounded badly.
IF he's in TF4, he MUST be a Dodge Challenger.
I havent read the comic to compare it to the movies. Do the comic books match up to the movies in terms of characters? If not theres a possibity that cliffjumper could make it into 4th film if there is going to be a 4th film.
Bumblebee wasn't quite as established in the minds of children in 2007, so they could've gotten away with just making a red Bumblebee then. Now kids know who he is, and won't see him as anyone else, hence all the "____ Bumblebee" figures instead of new characters.
Because that'd be cheap, dumb, and because somebody in the production staff realised Cliffjumper is not a repaint of Bumblebee.
Because he'd just be a red bumblebee, and they might as well give that rendering time to someone interesting.
(Unless they went the Prime route, in which case I'd love it.)
Because Dino got to be "the red car guy". Seems like they made a pretty deliberate effort not to have more than one color per Autobot. Sideswipe replaced Jazz as the silver car, Que replaced Jolt as the blue car, Ratchet kept replacing himself as the progressively worse neon pea-green car, Ironhide got the black deco, Bumblebee obviously would be the only yellow car, Skids & Mudflap got the leaf green & orange decos, and the Wreckers were Nascars with white accents and shit ton of guns to set them apart.
Then again, as we know with Bayformers, established character names do not dictate the colors or alt modes they'll appear with in the movies. For all we know Cliffjumper would have ended up being a brown jeep.
Separate names with a comma.
