    "and looks..." what?

Devastator, by the way, was called a "Combiner Class" figure.

Ultimate Bumblebee was a humongous Bumblebee. And DotM Ultimate Prime was an Ultra Class-ish Optimus Prime with a trailer.

You're going to have to specify exactly what issues you have with the toys. Other than price, obviously.

Kids like big toys, and kids like gimmicks like lights and sounds, and especially in UBBs case, it has a whole bunch. I don't think as many kids are as excited about complexity and screen accuracy (though they are both fairly complex), but more into play value. I know I have run into a few parents who were quite frustrated with UBB. Kid gets the biggest toy, he is a happy camper on Christmas, as long as it resembles the character.

Ran into one lady in the toy aisle after Christmas during movie one, and she was cursing to me how her ex-husband bought their son UBB and she can't figure out how to transform the damn thing. I bet he takes great pride in saddling her with that thing cause you know as soon as she figures out how to turn it into a camero, her son is going to want to play with it in bot mode.

Ultimate has a nice ring to it for marketing, weather us collectors think it is the ultimate representation of the figure.

When I first saw the 07 "Ultimate Bumblebee", I thought it was an oversized knockoff, haha.

Yea, I was just getting back into collecting and got suckered into that one. I should probably dump it soon. Actually, I got suckered into it twice, cause I didn't check out the facemask gimmick on the second version and when Amazon had it for $25-$30 I said meh, what the hell. Bad mistake, that facemask is terrible. Wish I had looked at that facemask before opening it and given it away as a christmas present or to Toys 4 Tots.

Well, you can probably still find some use for it.
