Why is this figure so sought after? Never really paid much attention to this figure but, I do see some boardmembers here clamoring for him. Can someone please explain?

I just found one when I was out xmas shopping today.

 

Because he's red in the movie most likely. Plus Bumblebee took all the glory out of yellowness. lol

 

Because that wave of figures had a limited distribution for some reason and he was more movie accurate than the yellow Rampage.

 

The deal is that it was part of the last wave of ROTF deluxes. It never made it out anywhere. Very few people had a chance to buy one.

 

^^^ this and just like HA mudflap, it seemed as though it had come and gone and many missed out on it. then it appears at discount stores months later

 

I am hoping to find one. I scored Evac today, but there was no Rampage.

Personally, I dig the red because I just think it looks better. The red seems more menacing on him.

 

I'm holding out for the Takara version, which is even more movie accurate.

Not sure which one to go after. The one in that TRU exclusive 3pack is pretty sweet as well.

 

$7.99 for a deluxe at Ross is pretty darn good.

Have you seen it in person? It's kind of pink.

 

I'd really like those - I was hoping that they'd show up more than they did but they seem something you have to chase.

If discount stores are stocking them - which ones ?

 

Marshalls, T.J. Maxx, and Ross are good bets.

 

I never saw him, wanted to get him when he came out originally, but I got 2 legends of him, they were a let down, should have saved money for other stuff.

But the red alt mode looks very nice compared to the yellow.

 

I kinda like the yellow version. because it looks more real world realistic. as I've never seen a blood/burgandy red construction vechicle in rampages alt mode.

If I see the blood red version. I might return the yellow version. just because it's more movie accurate. also it'll be in demand more,worth more & more special as far as the secondary market goes & fans regard the overall specialness of the color scheme.

 

It's probably waaaaaay too late to return the original yellow version.

 

I have the Takara version and it is quite nice. The TRU 3-pack version looks alright (I like the silver on the face), but yes the red used is...quite different compared to the other two. If anyone can score the "plain" red Hasbro version without having to pay above retail, that's still pretty good though, considering how rare he was.

I use the yellow version as my Movieverse G1 Ransack, since the 'bot mode (when not in jackhammer mode) reminds me of an insect, though I'm thinking of just calling him Skipjack instead (like the recent EZ Legends version) because I love that name.

 

no its not,it's still most/all retail stores computer systems. ofcause one won't get cash back. returning this toy will get you a store credit.
