yeah,i know he's been out for a while now but i never picked him up and now when i try, it's damn near impossible and worse yet he's going for like $60+ if he is in stock. will he be re-released anytime soon? anyone know a place that has him in stock for a semi-normal price?

Only thing I can think of is the fact that his colorscheme is MUCH better than the Hasbro release. I wish I had looked at a comparison of the two earlier when he was more common, because between the darker paint, the larger amount of detail, and especially the colored wheels, he looks a lot better than the Hasbro version. If I have the cash, and find him at one of the local shops, he may be on my list. I still need to get Henkei Ramjet and Astrotrain first though.

I wasn't able to find Henkei Hound. I ended up getting the Universe Classics version.

I really have a hard time finding Henkei Ratchet, Red Alert, and Cyclonus though.

It is a great figure. I bought the Hasbro release first but when I seen pics of Henkei Hound I got him as well. Hound has not had many versions other than original G1 so if you want a Hound for your collection there is not a lot to pick from. For me Henkei Hound is the best Hound release ever. I find myself displaying Henkei Hound instead of my Alternators Hound.

I have found all the Henkei figures quite easy to find but Hound in particular is just VERY expensive.

^I haven't heard anything about that.

I ended up cancelling my preorders for Henkei Hound and Cyclonus at BBTS and now wish I hadn't. Debesh just hooked me up with a Cyclonus and he's way better then the Hasbro version. And last night I put Hound on my shmax bot ebay Sniffer and just as you stated, got an email and he was 60!!

I may try and find a loose one. In the future, maybe you should try that as well :)

Well, I tried to find places that still had him, when I thought I finally found a place, but then:

    Henkei Classics - C-13 Hound

Holy crap. I knew he was more expensive than the others, but that's insane. But remember, Cyclonus was sold out for a long time as well, and BBTS currently restocked him for a decent price, so who knows?

Usually with Henkei, I just bit the bullet and buy it anyway. I was thinking on getting another Hot Rod but if Hound is 80, I dont wanna know what Hot Rodimus is going for.

EDIT: I just ebayed Rodimus, He is going for 80-100 bucks. SHEEESH

Probably for the same reason Red Alert is.

You could try looking through classics/henkei lots on ebay. Or lots in general. If you do it that way and average out the cost per figure, it's usually way cheaper. Also, you can then hock the stuff you don't want individually and usually recover your money. Or some anyway.

Eh. The color schemes on the two toys are two sides of the same coin. There are things I'd do differently on either deco.

Wow, am I glad I prefer Universe Hound's color scheme to Henkei(for some reason I hate the yellow stripe). Hope that Red Alert won't be this bad when I decide to go for him at TFCon.
I'd chalk that up to the upcoming protector armor.
