This crossed my mind. But then again, I really just want to avoid paying full price when I could get a deal.

Being a fan on a budget is a gamble. A new toy... or a meal. Hmmm... I'll get back to you on this.

I checked every store on a regular basis trying to get the 1/55th scale cars. The pegs were always empty. Sure, they had all the other stuff like the really big cars with the rip cords and other stuff like that. But the 1/55ths were either sold out, or they only had Lightning and Mater. Now it's been a different matter for the last couple of months. Plenty to go around. Considering the movie came out a year ago, it took a while to get to where we are now.

Deluxes for $7.99 at Target, or price match elsewhere if you have to. Good enough for 'ya?

Really? I think my WM has 'em.

    Back to TFs...

I think its safe to say that Bumblebee will be a bitch to find. He's arguably the robot star, and he's cheap. Voyager Prime may be a bitch to find too.

    i disagree.

with cars, mattel has always been known for dodgy distribution and scalper problems, due to cheap retail prices.

with hasbro and the range of product available, we wont have such problem.

im totally calling it or i will eat my shoe.

I could see problems with a few rarer figs (if one is in only one wave or so), but with the popular characters like Optimus or Bumblebee (who are likely the ones the kids will go after most) there's no way we'll see a shortage.

Even though my list is long, I only have three (four, if '08 BB comes out before the film) toys left to find before I can just kick back and take a break. Not that I don't like the toys, it's just, they're expensive. (I just bought Ratchet and Blackout for $60 together!)

Movie toys I have (and love):

    Leader Optimus Prime
    Leader Megatron
    Voyager Ratchet
    Voyager Blackout

    Toys still to get:

    Voyager Starscream
    Voyager Ironhide
    Deluxe Jazz
    '08 Bumblebee (later)
