Sure, we've all seen past movie toy lines have tons of toys on the shelf and there is no short supply of any of them. In fact, they usually end up on clearance. With this mindset, alot of people say there's no need to be in a hurry to buy the movie stuff. There will be tons of it available for quite a while. I've even said it myself a time or two. Now I point you to the one example that broke the stereotype of movie toys. Disney's Cars. Before the movie, there were no fans. Noone really cared about the toys, so there were plenty around. There were no fans prior to the movie to buy any of the toys. Then the movie hit. It was a huge success. Pretty much instantly, all the 1/55 scale diecasts sold out. They were a huge pain in the butt to locate. It's taken almost a year for the things to finally meet demand and reach saturation. So what if the TF movie does like Cars? It's a huge success and people want the toys. Not just fans, but average people, kids, average kids, etc... I could totally see stores getting wiped out and making guys like Bonecrusher very hard to find. I'm not taking any chances. I will buy all the ones I want before the movie opens.
