Why I feel a big-name director shouldn't be used if a reboot is made

Film Academy considers, that some of the movies have "deeper meaning", but for me these films do not have any effect. I see no sincerity in them, and they do not awaken in me the desire to live. But Transformers inspire me, give me strength to live and realize my dreams, they fill my life by the light. So whether Michael Bay specializes in films with deep meaning (without the quotes) - every one of us decides for himself. At least, he shoots so sincerely that it is impossible to remain indifferent. :bay  :)

Just don't care about the critics man, they're just douchebags sometimes, they also gave bad critics to ROTF and DOTM you know. It's your only opion that matters, don't let the others effect you.

I'm not trying to be harsh, it's just that it was hard to read what she typed out.

To be fair, they may do relatively poorly critically (but seem to do alright financially), but The Incredible Hulk did not suck. :p  And I happened to enjoy his remake of Clash as well. Perfect? No. Terrible? No. It's just that his movies aren't good enough to be considered "GREAT!", but they're not awful enough for him to be on many people's "Worst Directors" lists. He sort of sits in the middle; the land of adequacy and averageness.

And yes, as someone already pointed out, Letterier will have nothing to do with Wrath of the Titans.

Big names may attract people to a product but a poor product generally won't make them stick with it.
Not that I've ever seen the show as I just wasn't in the mood to start following another series only to probably see it canned. Looks like I was right to skip it. Or maybe it's that attitude that's the reason things get poor viewerships these days and then get cancelled. A circle of irony?
