Why don't they stream any of the cartoon series' or even the first two movies on Netflix??

I would love Netflix even more if they did.

Because they haven't made a deal with the people who have the distribution rights.

I have every season of G1 up to Headmasters on DVD. Also picked up the latest Blu-Ray 3 pack of the films.

It'd be nice, but I don't need them on Netflix.

I see what you're saying. I have G1, BW, BM, Energon, and whats been released of Animated on DVD. I'm thinking more along the lines of RID since it wasn't released in the US. And maybe season 3 of Animated at least.

Because no matter how u slice it after having Netflix for 6 months u have nothing left to watch :D

    Been there done that lol

Like the others said, if they don't have a deal with the folks who own the rights to it, they will not have it. Barring that, maybe they do, but I'm doubting it as its popular so I would imagine that would push it the top of the list to get it on the streaming portion of their business.

Netflix need a more comprehensive movie/tv streaming catalogue anyway.

Wish Netflix streamed more in general...sometimes they've taken stuff down from streaming (one was Trigun, but I noticed they put it back up for streaming).

They're offering a free first month for new subscribers but I can't see enough material on there to last me a weekend. Easy pass.

There is NO TF stuff available for streaming on Netflix.

They do however have every last Star Trek television episode available to stream - to include animated. No ST movie available except the most recent one, which is fairly puzzling.

Every now and then I'll find a lost gem on Netflix, something I really liked way back when and haven't seen in years. Other times, it's nothing but crap. All depends on which night I'm browsing, I guess.

Even if TF streamed on Netflix, its entirely possible it wouldnt cover RiD and Animated, due to the issues involved in their broadcast/distribution rights.

    You're not missing much.

The movies likely have a different system of licensing than the shows, which probably would just fall under syndication.

The way Netflix was wanting to push everyone toward streaming you'd think they would have a more comprehensive line up. They have some pretty good stuff that digs deep into the TV archives but sometimes I want to rewatch something like one of the Gundam series and there is no Gundam on Netflix streaming.

Really kind of lacking in mechs or huge robots in general so maybe the question is what does Netflix have against huge machines?

I don't like how they will have 1 or 2 movies in a series, but not all. If they can get the rights to air some of them, why not the entire movie series?
