    Wheeljack has muttonchops because he can. And I can see it now, Wheeljack working on building or repairing something, and humming "The Ace of Spades". That would be kickass lol.

    No one complained when Unicron had it, or Scourge, or Alpha Trion, or Wreck-Gar, not to mention the fact alien robots FOR SOME REASON look exactly like Otaku humans in bad cosplays since the very first series.

    I don't mind the chops either. Much, much better than long springy beards/mustaches of G1, because at least we know it's not literally hair, but resembles it to give the design more character.

    For some reason this reminds me of Starscream's clones and how I wished they didn't use the names Skywarp etc. Hmm maybe I envisioned Skywarp to have a punk mohawk.

    Me too that version with just a face plate doesn't look good at all though either one I could live with hopefully he'll get a toy.

    I like him with the muttonchops. It's a different than the way he was in G1.

    I was SOOO hoping for Wheeljack to act like Doc from Back to the Future. He could even say "GREAT PRIMUS!".

    :peoples:  Just got caught up on this thread. When I first saw Wheeljack, he was reminded of many of the Civil War officers with their big bushy beards and mutton chops. Somwhow I cannot take a Wheeljack with a beard too seriously...but then again maybe I shouldn't. At least he has what looks like a mouth!:)

    I'm just happy to get Wheeljack. Armada WHeeljack was a neat concept, but...nothing like G1 Wheeljack. I realize change is good, but I like being in the same ballpark of the namesake.

    Wheeljack with just the beard doesn't do it. He needs either no facial hair like stuff at all or the Jamie Hyneman look. I like the latter for Animated, as I can just imagine Wheeljack saying:

    "Wheeljack want BIG BOOM!"

    His knack for building large and dangerous things is also Mythbusters like.
