We citizens of the United States take precedent over the rest of the world. That's the way it is when you're Numero Uno.  

 

Films aren't always released simultaneously in every country regardless of sporting fixtures. We had to wait for the first movie, and the rest of the world actually got ROTF before the US:

I would rather we all get movies at the same time. Same goes for the Marvel movies even though I get them first. It's not fair on anyone to need to hide from spoilers for a week or two or even longer in some countries. They should just have a release date that's for all countries for every movie.

Agreed. Although there are different time zones, so if we (U.S.) got TF4 June 27th, like the rest of the world, that would mean places like Asia and others would see it the next day before us. So it would still be messed up either way.

 

Yea, but of course 1 day is not as bad as 1 or 2 weeks. Or the poor countries that don't get it until even later.

 

We're not the last country to get the film, some countries have it later! But it still sucks.
