I know it's kind of a
but why does THIS not need an orange plug?!
It doesn't transform.
Because BBTS has no rhyme or reason to their plug decisions.
Because it's not going through customs. It's not BBTS's fault.
becuse god hates u.
Its a firearm replica and could be misconstrued a a real gun.
Hes asking why it does NOT need a plug wich i have no real ansewr to.
I love how there's always a comment on how BBTS is crazy for using the orange plugs. Because, you know, as a business they LOVE to upset fans by tinkering with their toys. Why, just the other day I opened a box from BBTS and the Mazinger figure I ordered had an orange plug stuck in it's butt. Those insane rascals at BBTS!
Which doesn't answer the question at hand at all - why DON'T they plug the thing that actually looks like a real gun? Kids could just as easily get ahold of one of these as they could a Megatron.
Most likely Jimmyjimjim's answer - it's not going through customs. The company that makes it is based out of Philly.
I wasn't attempting to answer the question, because I don't know the answer. Maybe the thing does come with a plug and they neglected to mention it. Maybe there is some law that states movie prop replicas don't need plugs. Maybe like someone said it doesn't need one since it's not going through customs. Although I would assume that they're made in China and would at some point have to enter the country. I have no idea. My point is that it wouldn't be in BBTS's interest to tamper with products just for the hell of it. And it's not as if they're the only online toystore that plugs Megatron, so I'm not sure why they always get singled out for it.
The thing is, this is something they SHOULD be tampering with "just for the hell of it". They are always the first to say they will plug this import or that import to be within the law, but selling this as is defies the same exact law.
Hence, no rhyme or reason. If they are such sticklers for the law, they should actually follow through with all product.
This isnt an import to begin with, so no problem with customs.
There very well MAY be a law that lets this get away with not being differently colored (I suspect it gets considered a collectors item, not a toy intended for children and thats where the difference lies) Has anyone, you know, ASKED them?
Its probly ok for this becuse nobodys realy going to say anything,so why bother.
What are you, nuts? Then we might get an answer, and what fun would that be when we can argue and speculate?
Clearly the only answer here is that they hate Transformers and it's fanbase and they think it's funny to plug the barrel and piss us off. They probably even paid all of the other online stores to do the same thing just so they could sit back and laugh at us. Wow, what a bunch of dicks.
(don't mind me, I'm just feeling extremely sarcastic today)
I know, they ARE dicks.
Other online stores didn't glue the damn plugs in like they did, and didn't get in trouble for not doing so either. Unnecessary move, IMO.
Huh, I just looked in the dictionary and found this:
Internet [n] "in-ter-net": A public forum created by Al Gore, designed and utilized for arguments and speculation."
If that the case Jasman Inc. should make the Halo 3 Earth wepons. They said that they are considering it but because they have problems with them looking so real.
Probably cause it is a Prop replica and not considered a toy. I would imagine even though Megatron was not really intened as a childs toy, it could be considered as much since it was of a character depicted in a cartoon. I really have no idea, but that is all I can come up with.
Separate names with a comma.
