I dunno if anyone else feels the same way as i do about this figure but i think Hasbro did an awful job here. I have pick up Star Scream and Prowl of the TFA series so far and they are both top notch transformers. BB robot mode is poorly articulated compared to the others and his fold out stingers are a joke. His head seems way too large and his feet are the worst TF feet i have in my collection. And his chest! it supposed to look like its hood of the car but its not, its not its a prefabbed chest with the look of a window. I don't understand how Hasbro could go from the awesome TFTM BB to this hunk of poorly engineered plastic.

I hope there isn't a thread already on this but if not it like to be the first to start the ranting. should i have posted this in the toy discussion forum instead?

I don't actually have him yet, so I can't really address the specifics of your complaints. I just wanted chime in and say, isn't his chest supposed to be the roof of the car, not the hood? I believe his roof is on his chest, like G1 and Classics BB... that's why it has a windshield on it. Shame it's a fake windshield instead of being the actual one from his car mode, though.

If you watch his transformation sequence in the show carefully (a slow-mo version would help) you'll see that his chest isn't actually the roof of his alt-mode, but is basically like his toy's chest, in that it is meant to look like the roof, but isn't. As for the toy in general. I've heard good things about it, and a good amount of people seem to like it. I think his head is just slightly too big, but not too large that it bothers me. Though I still don't plan to get him, I think it's a nice looking figure.

His chest is not supposed to be anything. If you watch the show he transforms exactly like the toy. The roof and hood become his legs in the animation. I think he s a quality toy aside from the cheesy stingers. I'ts just he is not as streamlined as his animation model

    I think it's a good figure.
The head mold is fantastic IMO, and I love the stingers.

Really? Hm, okay, I stand corrected. I thought it was the roof. Never mind, then.

My first also....I kind of understand what your saying about the articulation, but there is two thing your forgeting, imagination(pretend it's him on the show.) and Fun(Transformers were built for fun, not to see how articulative or less cheesy it is, and animated is quite cheesy.

I have him about a week now. At first I hated him, but he is slowly growing on me, up to a point where the fact that his hands are open probably bothers me the most (makes cool poses look weird)

The best TF Animated toys are Earth Mode Optimus Prime, Grimlock and Lugnut! Bumblebee is ok but not as good of the others... but he's still better than Blackarchnia :p

QFT. He rocks. He's posable, has nifty stingers, a great transformation and alt mode and one of my favourite headsculpts to date. He's awesomely engineered and I love that they added the turbo boosters from the show. (albeit in the wrong colours, but hey)

While I won't defend his posability (it's really strangely limited considering how many joints are there), his transformation is extremely close to show-accurate if you watch several of the more detailed sequences on the cartoon.

The large head and feet come up a lot, but well...that's aesthetic preference from person to person.

I believe a few people spotted that, if you really peruse the instruction and promo pictures of the toy, some of the blocks that prevent the stingers from fully retracting may have been added -after- the toy was designed. Possibly to pass the drop test or something like that.

Really can't agree that his engineering is poor, though. A lot of stuff happens, almost all of it ends up extremely clean (backpack, the full rotational inversion, etc), and the least clean part of the end result are two shin panels that STILL have specific cuts to allow his knees to bend through them.
