Apologies if there's already a topic discussing this but I didn't see one. So for this topic I would like to talk about Robots in Disguise Grimlock. Now this isn't a topic to complain about his personality or appearance or rather than kind discuss the possibilities of how Grimlock went from how he acted in IDW comics/Cybertron games to how he was first seen in RiD. Now I know the simple answer is because the show writers didn't want to follow what Hasbro had laid out as canon for them and wanted to write their own canon, but it would be neat and interesting to see if it is possible to somehow connect the two incarnations that Hasbro insists are one and the same. So in Fall of Cybertron you have Grimlock as a tough, vicious, and prideful warrior that isn't really keen on following Optimus' orders. He hates Shockwave for experimenting him and his team, transforming them into the dinobots. It also establishes that Shockwave had placed a chip in his head to limit his thoughts and freewill in an attempt to control him, causing him to come off of a bit animalistic at times. But then you have in Robots in Disguise, having been arrested for accidentally causing property damage but strangely enough he seems more cheerful, less prideful, and less violent. Now while he stills doesn't follow orders from time to time, he seems to take orders from Bumblebee much better than he ever did with Optimus. Then there's the question why he had the Decepticon insignia considering that would be the last thing he would want considering how he came to be a dinobot in the first place. One might say that he had something to do with the chip in his mind but he tended to be prideful and tough before then but a little bit less violent and vicious. So why do you think RiD Grimlock acts the way he does?
