Hanging parts in robot mode? And here I thought it was neat that most figures had a shocking lack of kibble.

I like the line because it gives attention to characters from almost every generation a much needed update, and more often than not they end up being very sturdy toys with great engineering compared to their originals.

Well it seems the OP is pretty much set in his mind.

Which figures in particular do you hate? please dont say all cause there are a lot of great designs.

Dont think so? stop complaining and do something about it. Mod them or make your own TFs. other people are doing it. Look at Fansproject and various other third party people.

..... I'll give you hotshot, as he was a disappointment to me as well.... but "way too many hanging parts in robot mode"? The only parts I see as "hanging off" are the knee caps on Sideswipe and Sunstreaker.

Hotshot is the only one I'll give you. Prowl is great, Hound is great, the twins are great, Inferno is great. It's an awesome line.

Just to add to the curiousity, and not being a dick, just asking, have you handled one of the figures personally?

Univers 2.0 is awesome filled with nostalgia from the 25 years of franchise. Pity we won't see it during the summer or even the fall.

Nobody is gonna hate you, but if people like something then let them like something.

I personally love the line. Old characters I like with way more articulation then they've ever had. I'm not sure what you mean by "hanging" parts since most of them have less kibble then any line I know and if there IS kibble, it's most likely to help them mimic their G1 counterpart.

I'm not sure about anybody else, but I think the line is pretty much pure epic win. The molds are nice and solid, with fun transformations, and have nice paint apps. There really isn't much about the line I don't like (Galvatron and lack of RID homages is about it). I just hope I'm able to get ahold of a Ratchet. I still haven't seen him in-stores yet (although I haven't honestly been to Target in quite some time, lol).

I'm not gonna hate the guy for his opinion. I would like to hear his reasons for hating the line, though. Some clarification on "retarded transformations and way too many hanging parts in robot mode" would be nice. Does he think the transformations are too simple? Too complex? And what "hanging parts" is he referring to? Do all the Universe figures have enormous wedding tackle that I haven't noticed?

    bwuha?

anyways i LOVE this line, it gives me representations of g1 figures who's original figures cost me an arm and a leg (sunstreaker)

the only mold that gets on my mind is the prowl/bluestreak/smokescreen mold, but that is only when transforming it, i still like it, it just ain't one of my faves

Pretty much all the toys have great transformations and look awesome in both modes and don't have too much kibble. It's a really great toyline.

In addition, I would like to know what the OP considers a good line and some examples of figures that don't have "hanging" bits and a supposed "retarted" transformation. And I will repeat, no hate at all, but definitely curiousity.

We fail to take into consideration that the OP is only thirteen, and wasn't around during G1 like us old fuddy duddies, who love the nostalgia of the line as well as the great toys that they are.

I dunno if that can be a total excuse. I'm 18 and love G1/Classics/Universe.

But that's just me, and I dunno if that qualifies.
