The gimmick of Transformers is what enticed me as a child. As a kid I loved cars and trains, and the thought of car changing robots blew my mind. It was a concept so simple, yet Hasbro found a way to make it so complex. They’ve built all this lore, and developed all these characters. There are so many different iterations and changes. It’s something you can grow with and attached to. In Transformers, there’s something for anybody and even the dumbest or simplest of ideas could work with this franchise as long as it’s handled well. Plus, there is so much stuff to categorize and analyze, that it’s a geek’s wet dream.
