To make my parents wallets scream.

 

Because my former collecting hobby, Masters of the Universe, went belly up.  

Transformers fills the void and eases the pain  

 

I love the toys & the characters.

 

Because I'm a child trapped in a man's body, and women won't let me play with their boobs as often as I want.

 

I'm stubborn  

True story: when I was a kid, there was a store called Ironhorse. They specialized in robot toys. The store owner once asked me for a want list...I gave him 6 typed pages (I was 14). He told me to "give up, nobody can own them all"...and the rest is history   If it wasn't for unreleased G2 and Lucky Draws I'd have it made  

 

The real reason is to keep my brain occupied.I get bored rather easily and I've loved TF's since I first saw it.My Grandfather got me into it becuase he drove trucks and liked Prime.He pretty much had the same logic and lifes philosophy as Prime so to me they are one in the same.

 

The way I look at it, everyone geeks out about something. Cars, sports, art, woodworking, women, men...whatever. Collecting toys is no different in my opinion.

It's just something to occupy our time between, eating, sleeping, and screwing.

 

Because the sky is blue. Thats why I collect anyway.

I collect because I bloody well feel like it. That and it's cheaper than buying cigarettes.

 

Wow I'm not the only one who collects Transformers to stay off drugs!  To be honest I'm surprised there are other like me out there. You gotta admit it's a better way to spend your money. Lasts longer too! Also gives me a way to wind my brain down. So many characters and personalities each with their strengths and flaws. It's a world I find easy to get lost in. I guess that's why I loved them so much when I was a kid in the 80's. I've discovered that you never do really grow up.... Sounding like a bit of a geek now... 

 

I never got enough of Transformers. I went on a bit of a hiatus with TMNT, then MMPR. But it was Beast Wars that pulled me back in. I wasn't working then so I didn't gra a lot of the figures. Then, by the time RID came out I was a Manager at KB Toys and that was when I saw Optimus Prime! Ever since then, I never looked back (and with 330 bots later, I don't plan to!) It is awesome to be abe to travel back in time in my mind and remember all the funny things I used to do with them. Now with 2 kids of my own(who love them too) I get to watch them grow (as well as their minds). I don't think I would have been as good with logic and reasonable thinking without them in my life...

OCD. At least that's what keeps me collecting.

 

at first i watched the movie and went out and got ironhide even though i didn't know who he was (twas the only one left after all the scalpers took the bumblebeez and optimii), then i became a fanboy and bought, spent, and bought s'more.

so now i've spent hundreds of dollars and still have a wimpy collection compared to most here.

but that's what i look forward to, having just a massive collection that people just go        at.

I like transformers  

 

I collect transformers because i cannot imagine my life without them. People might tell me to get a life or something and i will answer them back...

"Go get your life and stop bothering me getting my transformers."

 

For me it's simple: I enjoy collecting.

 

1. I loved Transformers as a kid.
2. The engineering of a truck transforming into a robot is still cool to me. I love it.
