Now, Im 28, and as a kid, this thought was on all our minds. Decepticons truly did have all the cool stuff. And in the movies, Its not far from the truth either.

Decepticons:
Driller
Combiner
Tank
Police car
Space satellite
Helicopter
Plane

Autobots:
Trucks
Motorcycle
Cars....

That's about it

It pretty much proves the out saying right, and the movie quote, Decepticons DO get all the good sh*t

 

Autobots had the SR-71 Blackbird, THE most badass plane.

Well, the human and Autobot alliance did have that rail gun that peaced out Devastator in ROTF, even if Simmons had to dig for it. There's also Prime's weapons cache in DOTM that murdered everything in Chicago. Can't forget about the sabot rounds, which rendered the Decepticons useless from the end of TF1 through DOTM. Basically, everything cool that the Decepticons had was either nullified by something just as a cool on the NEST side of things, or a victim of poor writing.

 

Nah man Epps just dunno what kind of $hit do the Autobots have, Optimus have a lot of goof shit if u ask me a new energon axe, a new big daddy cannon and his fly tech too and u already know in the movie the Autobots don't transform to some high tech vehicle they only change to car for disguise but look on the bright side their weapons may not as good as the decepticon but they got great skills like combat. And in this movie Ironhide has news kicking ass weapons too (the cannon Que invented)

 

Watch the films again. In actual fact, the Autobots and the humans are the ones with all the good shit.

 

Whats the point in having good sh** if bullets and a big piece of cloth can take down your baddest assassin??

 

it's truth, the bad guys always get the most badass stuff. proof: star wars, doctor who, samurai jack, g.i. joe, etc...

LOL how is he an assassin if he was never actually shown as having killed anyone? And I'm not really going to count the events of the comics, assuming he killed anyone in them.

 

Aside from the Driller and the Combiner, the rest is about equal in my opinion.

True, well if you count him using the driller.......but that just shows you how much of a waste he was in this movie.

 

It's implied that Mr. Driller killed a few NEST soldiers in the Ukraine, but I look at him as an entirely separate entity: a grunt of a grunt, if you will.

See, I only look at these comics as peripherals to the actual movies. You can do with or without, and I choose the latter.

 

Well, it's implied The Decepticons actually WON the War back on Cybertron, it's understandable that they would have more assets and better-quality weaponry than the Autobots [who were pretty much anihilated until they arrived on Earth].

 

It takes a lot to destroy a hero's heart and the drive for freedom....

 

Yeah, well, the Autobots have Optimus. Your argument is invalid.

 

From a writing point it makes them more intimidating. Which is going to look scarier to your average human, a robot that turns into a car or a robot that is covered in guns and turns into a tank?

 

But the Decepticons didn't have Wheeljack's inventions. They were great for kicking ass.
