As asked by Epps in DOTM right before Driller takes down the building. This was kind of annoying in all 3 movies. Other than Optimus and Ironhide, the rest of the crew isn't armed as well as Decepticons. Heck, none of the Autobots can even fly (not counting Optimus' jetpack). Compared to decepticons, the autobots have no minions like Driller, Frenzy, Scorponok, Ravage, etc. What do you guys think?
Antagonist's usually have the flashy stuff, so they can have the heroes come up with a way to thwart it. But the heroes less flashy bread and butter weapons are usually more efficient in the end.
I think the autobots....ahem.... Optimus kicked all dececepticon asses without "the good stuff".... Think about it.... ;-)
The antagonists usually are supposed to be stronger or more powerful than the protagonists, this is to keep the audience on the edge of their seat and think that the protagonists may not succeed. Its like in TFP there's only five Autobots and thousands of Decepticons. Its to keep everyone in suspense.
Autobots don't keep cybertronian life against their will, nor do they grow mindless soldiers in tubes to fight their battles.
Indeed this. What;s the point of good stuff if it's get destroyed so easily. The Autobot have nothing (but humans) and they still wipe the floor with the Cons.
Well, the Decepticons got Leonard Nimoy, Tony Todd and Hugo Weaving, so yes, they always get the good shit.
Source? I do not consider the driller "good stuff" it was a giant waste of money (from the CGI animation) and most importantly, time, that could have been put to use on FAR better things. such as a FAR better ending fight scene, a far better finale period. I was down with Igor and the minions and such though, nice quick highlights that worked very well.
