Also, I'm surprised anyone considers season 2 decent. Even people who like the show point to it for the majority of it's problems.

 

I enjoyed it.

Then again I have really shit taste in everything so what would I know.

I think we can all agree that TFP didn't live up to its potential.

 

I don't agree with that at all. The first season far surpassed my expectations. Season 2, aside from the Relic Hunt portion (the episodes that played out like the movie Vantage Point), had some really good episodes. I hate to admit Beast Hunters started out pretty good, but burned out fast. The finale wasn't terrible, though.

Predacons Rising, however... Pure shit.

 

Well yeah, if you separate out the Seasons, they're decent, but as a whole...

 

I wouldn't be so sure... Season 1 was pretty decent all around, Season 2 was just anticlimax after anticlimax until the finale, and Season 3 started strong only to fall to the same flaws as season 2. Contrary to most I actually 'liked' most of Predacon Rising until the "climax" and ending, but that in itself is a pretty big minus.

I liked Prime. There were too many filler episodes in the first season. I was disappointed in the low number of episodes in the later seasons. Beast Hunters was a bit forced. Other than that it was the best show since Beast Wars (in my opinion).

I loved Prime. There things I didn't like to. The first season I had mostly stuff I liked the only thing I did not like was creisscross. Season two I will addment got boring after the search for the omaga keys started but it finished with a bang. Season 3 may have been the sortsts but it was epic the thing I did not like that there wasn't more Predacons.

 

Season 1 is overrated, yeah there's a lot of good individual episodes but the plot for that season just comes out of nowhere in the last few episodes. the build up....there was none they were essentially padding out for time.

At least with Season 2 it actually had a goal that lasted the entire season (Omega Lock and the Keys). Regardless of how well it was execution.

I think Season 1 would have been better, if they had understanding the 'Prophecy' as their goal, and they had to translate it, and like others I have read from before, they would have to find relics to defeat Unicron, before the planetary alignment was complete.

Come on Hasbro writers, it isn't hard.

 

Season 1 would've been better if the absolutely lazy "prophecy" was set up at any time before it was supposedly coming true.

 

And if the one mention of Unicron when Dark Energon was introduced hadn't totally sounded like it was just a nickname of the stuff and not be his actual blood.

 

The prophecy was my least favourite thing about TFP. Gay.

 

Or how about them not feeding us rubbish like "the weak shall perish" that never meant anything. I know they wanted to kill Raf but come on. Of course they wouldn't be allowed to do that and nothing was stopping them from cutting that one line out.

 

Yeah there was no build up for Unicron at all, they just shoved him in at the end. Unlike in Beast Wars Season 1, where they built up the arrival of the Vok. And jumping from the Cons to the God of Chaos in only the first season was a huge mistake, because how do follow that tough act. Legend of Korra had Vaatu in Season 2, but Season 3 managed to keep things good with the Red Lotus who despite not being the Spirit of Darkness who could plunge the world into 10,000 years of darkness still proved to be a dangerous and challenging threat to the heroes, Prime just went back to the status quo with the Cons where they lose everyweek, and the Bots who are supposed to be outnumbered and underresourced still win without taking any losses.

 

It didn't outright suck but it was painfully mediocre.
