Because to Americans, it's a seemingly long and pointless game with funny terms and uniforms.

My good woman, I assure you I have not come into this thread with promises of penile enlargement, hot stock tips, and too-good-to-be-true deals on prescription medication.

oh that cricket. anyone with 4 braincells thst regularly rub against each other loves this wonderful game of mind and body, and is the real beautiful game, not the british style football that is the pretender to the throne.

Responding to your real question, I had cricket service for 2 years and enjoyed it very much. same bill each month, no matter how many text messages I sent/recieved. I had a tiny little nokia phone, so can't fault the phones like some people do. Signal was good most every place I went. At the time I had cricket, Tmobile had just bought out Voicestream and their coverage was limited. Only Verizon and ATT had analog coverage. I really only got rid of them when I bought a house and cricket service was about 50/50, it just didn't work inside the house and barely at all outside. That and tmobile's family plan made it only $10 more to get phones for me and my wife, so instead of paying $110 a month for our two cricket phones, now we pay about $65.

So cricket is a great deal in my opinion especially for (I am guessing) a teenager who doesn't make a lot of money and the bill won't be different each month. All the texting you can handle and in my area, free phones. The fact that there is no contract to sign, just month to month means you really don't have anything to lose if you try them out for awhile and get something else if it doesn't do it for ya.

Hope that helps. and by the way, there are 2 universities in my area and cricket is huge on campus for all the above reasons. :thumb

Just not a big enough service area around here. No service in the places I go.

He sings that crappy "When you wish upon a star" song. And interferes with the natural order of things by animating lifeless golems. Work of the devil that is. That's why.

Anyway, I have Cricket and I haven't been dissapointed. I love talking for hours and text messaging in the hundreds and knowing that my bill will always be the same.
