a while back I made a bt nightbeat custom with paint and a sideswipe headswap. now that it seems my favorite line is running down, I got to thinking about what possible customs I could do that would require little more than a repaint to make a decent G1 character. then I realized, wait, nightbeat was repainted into minerva, and there's a police version of the rsx! so I got an opened one cheap on ebay, and spent quite a while painting white over the factory black. took a while, let me tell ya. much thanks to superquad7 for his pointers on how to do a decent job painting by hand. I've got red pinstriping tape coming in the mail, which I'll put on to make the crosses on the doors and hood. but for right now, here's the one pic I took, along with my old nightbeat for comparison.

yeah, I was thinking that too about the face. the only consolation was that even though she looked feminine in the cartoon, as far as the figure goes, her and nightbeat shared the same mold. take a look at that face in the upper left hand corner in this link. not exactly the kind that makes you drool, is it?

whew, I'm glad someone does! thanks guys. if anyone has any suggestions on how to make minerva better, please share. I'm going to put a thick cross on the hood and one on each door, and put autobot logos in them (I think) just like the original.

Hey man, it looks like you take advice well! Your work here looks great! I appreciate the props as well, hehe! I'm just glad you like my work enough to ask for pointers :)

Do you have any Alt mode photos? If not, then take some! :thumb  I think some nice labels would really make your work even better. If you want to strickly go with G1-esque labels, go for it (and maybe you could contact Delta from reprolabels for some help with that). I'd like to see if you could some up with some original label designs for this piece (of which Delta still might be able to help you out with).

Looking great man! Keep it up!!

I just got the striping for the crosses today, but my stuff's at the apartment 200 miles away, so it'll have to wait a week before I can put her together. unfortunately, creativity isn't my strong point, and I kinda like doing a copy of the g1 form. hmmm, now I'll have to think more...

don't worry, I've got a prime - hoist conversion coming up (like I said, I'm not original) and got a cheap alt. meister that's gonna end up as stepper. that should keep me busy this fall!
