How? What technology? To win the war, they needed the Allspark or a new energy source. Cybertron had neither of these, Earth has both.
Could win but easy? Not quite. As in the DOTM narration the Decepticons outnumbered the Autobots. As seen in TF1 a genocide happened with corpses of Autobots strewn on towers. Some killed as a sport by Megatron as seen with the Bot running away. As Optimus said whole generations were lost during the war (ROTF). Sentinel Prime doesn't have the ball bearings to kill whats left of his race. Hence the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few.
Remember In the film Optimus said they could win the war with his technology? I know but i mean win the war between Autobots and Decepticons if Autobot win they can have the Allspark and rebuild Cybertron
Well Optimus didn't have the pillars nor control over them. Hence Sentinel Prime is the key. You see good robots and evil robots. Sentinel sees a tragedy of brothers killing each other. He wants to save Cybertron and he wants to save both Autobots and Decepticons. Sentinel Prime is the true neutral.

So betray couldn't do anything about tragedy about killing eachother as u see he kill Ironhide without Mercy and i don't really think he want to save both i think he on;y try to save the decepticons
The original plan between Sentinel and Megatron was retrieve the Allspark, bring over Cybertron to where it is that is Earth and call a truce for both sides. Megatron is only using Sentinel so he'll be in charge. Sentinel is also a tool against the Fallen so Megatron will have full control of the Decepticons. Sentinel has his own agenda sooner or later will bump off Megatron taking over the Decepticons from within. That plan fell apart with them going into stasis. Sentinel Prime is still obsessed in saving Cybertron and his race. Oh Minh'T it is common netiquette not to write in forum with texting abbreviations.
