Just got a call from my wife. My two kids were playing in the backyard with a dead bird's head. I believe playing catch. :confused2

    Kids do some weird crap.

    What do yours do?

My son will take anything the features a character he loves (Spiderman, Scooby Doo, Toy Story, etc) and ask if he can pretend it's a toy. Napkins, stickers, comic books, DVDs, books, boxes of food, gift wrapping paper, pages torn out of magazines, it doesn't matter. He'll take it and fly it around and pretend it's a real toy and be totally satisfied. This in spite of the fact that he has dozens of actual real toys of all his favorite things anyway. I don't get it, but I guess he's using his imagination a little more, so that's good.

Lol, My little nephew took apart a cybertron Prime once.....Ive never seen such carnage before...he burned it....the plastic looked like a pile of burnt watered down crap.....

My point is, I guess buying stuff for kids isnt such a bad idea, as long as it can give them SOME good child hood memories. I will get my nephew hooked on transformers so bad lol :D

you see all the junk at yardsales... and now think thats probably the stuff that survived.

I know when I got toys as a kid I played with them till they were junk... now I pretty much leave stuff alone.

Most kids usually toss the toy aside and play with the box.

A coworkers nephew did that with the TMX (tickle me elmo)... b/c the box talks. He says:

    "AH HA HA, NO PEEKING"

I loved garage sale toys, b/c they were already junk when you got them... like my Thundercats base... all the good stuff was broken.

I think the best part of letting kids play with toys is seeing how they play with them. I let my nephews (3 and 6) play with some of my select toys. I had my three year old nephew playing with Cybertron Prime without his extras. It was interesting to watch. The six year old kept dissecting the Roadbots I let him play with and I kept putting them back together.

I love watching my nephews play, and kids play. I love toys and seeing how others, adult and children, play with them.

It's like a kitten, you give them toys and theymite play with them, but you give them a empty box and they'll play with it for hours.

We got The Incredibles DVD for my daughter when she was around 2. She took the box for that movie EVERWHERE for the longest time. I do love to watch her imagination at work, she comes up with the cutest stuff sometimes.

I can remember being really young ( like maybe 4 years old ) and not having any hot wheels cars. I used to just lay my hand flat on the floor and scoot it around as if it were a car. My parents saw me doing this and bought me some hot wheels. :D

Ugh...cruelty to animals is never something you want to see a kid enjoying...I'd say playing with part of a dead animal would fall into that jurisdiction.

My pals & I would just try to invent things or play video games....heh we were dorks.

My wife said it was so dried out, I doubt they even realized what they were playing with. They are 4 years and 18 months old. My daughter loves animals. It was just gross.
