Because they have fantasies of penetrating their toys and not vice versa.

    Okay you must be new:

More at: Shipping - Television Tropes & Idioms

Its usually harmless, often annoying and sometimes just flat out bizzare/disturbing.

    Oh you mean it's Slashfic-lite

Just as disturbing but with 50% less need for brain bleach

No, slashfic of either flavour or hetero romance stories are the largest by product of shipping.

For the record, I think slashfic itself started with Star Trek fanzines publishing stories about Kirk/Spock (the '/' that separates their names being where the term slash comes from in this context), although given Star Trek's idealisation of a free love future; I find it strangely appropriate.

    Thanks for the definition.

To answer the topic, it's because Jack is depicted as basically an adult where as Miko is still childlike in her appearance. Putting a child into a romantic relationship is disturbing. That and Miko is disliked by a large number of people.

    That's my theory anyway.

This question entered my mind too when the notion of Jack and Arcee first arose. If anything, I'd say the affection Miko has for Bulkhead is a lot more obvious than any Jack has for Arcee. She's smitten with the big lug! You just can't pry her off him. She'll follow him everywhere if she can, into battles, into space, into the oil bath. Poor bot...

There are actually fans who want Jack and Arcee to be a romantic couple?

I can see it now "Human/Autobot romances, on the next Maury."

Bahhahahaha... I just had an image of Jack / Arcee holding a child that looks like half Arcee half Starscream with the caption "Jack will soon find out of he's ArScream's Daddy."

Because sounds like a good idea? I dont know, i personally think those 2 could make a cute couple. ^^ No, i mean it, i already thought several times since the series started that Jack and Arcee could actually MAKE a good couple. ^^

By that definition of "shippers" I suddenly find this topic awkward. Kiss Players comes to mind.

    Bam. :)

Pretty sure I had a good response for it the last time, so hopefully the thread hasn't been deleted so I can rehash it. However in the mean time, I believe that saying something along the lines of "I'd ride her metal to the pedal" should do.

    Hahahah..
