Seriously, putting price on nostalgia ftl.

Am I the only one that view Takara as a giant evil corporation out for our money, and Hasbro as the simpler cousin that want's to play with our hair?

they cost more because they're made mostly for collectors and since we are on the other side of the world it will cost a little more to import.

They wouldn't keep pumping them out if there was not a market for them.

a lot of people liked Takara before the merger with Tomy. The clear answer is Tomy was founded by rapists

It's not like plastic magically becomes more expensive based on the audience.

I mean, it's rediculous. Recast molds cast twice as much as new movie molds that probably took way more to design. They can afford to sell reissues cheap, they're just so goddamn greedy.

Wait, how much are the encore reissues?

I had been considering picking up a couple of them, but hadn't heard anything on the price yet.

Starscream is the cheapest one, and he's at about Leader class pricepoint.

because there are more then enough people willing to pay that price. So they make a HUGE profit.

I know right? When I heard about it I was excited, some cheap G1 characters to go with my new movie line. I get back my toys I had as a kid, without losing an arm and a leg.

And they give us these bull prices. God, they could be selling them for fifteen bucks each and still make a good profit, it's insane.

    "Hey, let's reissue G1 again."

"Good idea, giving fans what they want, at a price they finall can afford!"

"God no, it's going to be as close to rape as we possibly can without touching them."

    "Wha..?"

    <_< God.

I got the "New Year's" Convoy (plus re-issue Magnus and I'll get Pepsi Prime one day), the first run TFC-06 Megatron, 2 vintage Soundwaves in varying condition, and I dont really care about Starscream after Classics came out. So frankly I wont be buying any of these

WTF are you all talking about? Sure, they're expensive, but not that much. Megatron is the most expensive at 45 USD [not getting the prices from an import store, rather I'm getting them from hlj] and if I'm not mistaken, that's the price they run for when they were released as bookstyle re-issues.

    50 bucks for Soundwave?

Screw it, I'd much rather pay double that for working Soundwave mp3 player.
