Why are DOTM Starsceam and Skywarp the same, but not Thundercracker?

I was browsing through other sites for personal reasons, when I came across a picture of DOTM Starscream, Skywarp and Thundercracker together. Starscream and Skywarp both have the same Mech Tech Weapon, but Thundercracker has Roadbuster's chain saw. Would it have made more sence that Thundercracker had the same Mech Tech weapon?

I think they decided to give Skywarp the double blade AFTER people started complaining about TC's weapons.

    Reall? Double Blade?

I don't own DOTM Starscream, so I don't know how his Mech Tech Weapon works.

Probably because Skywarp is a Takara only product so far.

One end of the double blade's got a tab to lock the other mech tech part, when you connect them end on end.

So, TC's single blade's got the tab but without use.

Wrong. Since Tak/To would've had this planned loooooooooooooooong before we ever saw anything about it.

This. Because TakaraTomy likes their Seekers consistent and that's why his deco is the same as Thundercracker's and he has Starscream's weapons. Remember that Thundercracker is likely mostly Hasbro's idea, so the mixed match weapons is likely their plan, while TakaraTomy probably wanted to use weapons that work well together and with the mold (that's not the case with TC's weapons, they don't interact together).

Yes they did. But another Hasbro redeco, not a TakaraTomy one.

I'm the opposite. I wish Skywarp had a different weapon so all three would be more different... I may give Skywarp Laserbeak's guns.
