Like the title says, which one is your favorite old Autobot?

There's Ironhide, Alpha Trion, and Kup from G1.

There's Rhinox from Beast Wars

There's X-Brawn and Railspike from RID.

There's Scavenger from Armada

There's Landmine, Vector Prime, Brakedown, and Backstop from Cybertron

There's Ratchet, Ironhide,and Jetfire from Movieverse

There's Ratchet, Ultra Magnus, and Alpha Trion from Animated.

I say Rhinox since he was such a compelling character and he had the best weapons in the series: chainguns of doom.

Definitely X-Brawn. As a kid I was into Cowboys & Indians, so X-Brawn was a welcomed stereotype when I got into TF's, lol. I also really like his A-symmetrical design.

 

Jetfire from the movieverse! This guy is both hilarious and heroic, how could I not like that? Quick followers are movie Ironhide and Cybertron Vector Prime.

 

G1 Kup. I enjoyed his war stories just as much as the Dinobots.

 

Other of my favorite is Ironhide from both G1 and Movieverse as well as Animated Ratchet, Kup, Armada Scavenger, and Cybertron Landmine. The last two were practically mentors to their respective Optimus Primes.

 

Either G1 or Movie Ironhide. Love them both.

 

Animated Ratchet. He's a great mix of grizzled, crotchety, and compassionate. He's seen a lot of tragedy firsthand, made a lot of mistakes, and all he wants to do is try and keep his comrades from making the same ones, or at the very least to be able to put them back together when they do.

 

And this is exactly why Rachet is my favourite character in Animated.

Toss-up between Animated Ratchet and G1 Kup.

 

G1 Kup, especially how he's being portrayed in the comics - total badass IMO.


 

 

Don't forget Energon Bulkhead, who was more of a "wierd old man".  

I'd vote for Animated Ratchet, as he's one of the relative few whose age/longevity forms the underpinnings of everything he is now. As opposed to someone who just says "Watch it sonny!" or "When I was a young robot...".

 

Energon Bulkhead reminds me of Herbert from Family Guy for some reason.

 

Kup and Alpha Trion

 

ROTF Jetfire or G1 Kup.

 

G1 Ironhide. He was a cool character and a fearless warrior right to the end.

 

Animated Ratchet, definitely.
