Mirage because he rocks as a robot and he's a true super car.

 

I love Shockblast. He is by far my favorate.  

 

Hound is my favorite. His alt mode is spot on and his legs allow you do some cool crouching poses. Plus his weapon is not an engine.  

 

So here's a question for all of you: Is the Mirage/Hot Rod mold worth the nearly-double asking price that it's going for? Clearly it has just about the coolest alt. mode in the line, but if I'm paying $60ish for a Transformer I want a top-notch robot mode also.

 

My favorite is Wheeljack. It looks really badass and the alt mode (Ford Mustang) looks very good. I got the Alternator Wheeljack but if you can get the Binaltech one its probably much better.

Second favorite is Alt Mirage.

 

I only have 2 molds (Skids and Rollbar)....so I'm not the best judge I guess.

Of them though I would say Rollbar most definitely. Great transformation, nice posability, very little kibble overall. Just a great mold all around. Plus, shocks FTW.

Skids is cool as well, a nice transformation...but he has a fair bit of kibble, and his feet are rather floppy.

Of the other molds I've seen/want, I really like Dead End, Prowl, Jag Ravage, Prime, and Rodimus.

 

Right now its just Jazz.

It's only worth it if you think it's worth it  

If you think that's too steep right now.. I would camp around the junkion exchange.. you just never know when mirage/hot rod will pop up from a fellow member.

Who knows.. you might one day say "screw it" and just get it on ebay.. if you have the patience.. just look around for a fan to sell it.

 

I've got one of each individual mold except for Ravage2 and Rumble and I'd have to say the real gems are Mirage/Rodimus, Grimlock/Wheeljack (be warned, can be a real pain to transform) and Prowl/Camshaft (once you've done the leg mod). The rest are excellent, but I'd say the Optimus and Sideswipe guys are a bit lacking.

Tracks. He just looks like a bad-ass "I'll kick yo ass" samurai bot with a whole lotta guns.
Oh and Hound is a close second. Gotta love suspension!

 

In terms of the overall best modernized re-design and look in robot mode, I have to give the top award to Wheeljack - hands down. Hound is a close second, and Jazz & Silverstreak tie for third. Mirage & Tracks get VERY honorable mention.

Sideswipe, Sunstreaker & Prowl get my "most disappointing re-designs" award. Skids, Windcharger & Smokescreen are all passable, but not important enough characters for me to *really* care one way or another.

Prime, Grimlock and the plethora of Decepticons & other no-name characters don't even rank as far as I'm concerned.

 

I only have 3 (B. Ravage, Jazz, Shockblast) but my favourite one is Shockblast for sure. The car mode is sweet, looks a bit better than Jazz's car mode even though it's the same car. The robot mode is cool, the 'Shockwave' G1-style head accompanied with the laser hand is a neat addition to the toy.  

 

I've got them all, and I have to say that Rumble is my favorite. Plus; If you have an extra Prowl laying around you can pop his arms off, and they fit right into the little holes on Rumble's pile drivers so you can give him arms/hands.

Despite the fact that I own all the available Alternators plus the KP's and the even a BT18 clear Mirage...

I think they are all great, the enitire line as molds are wonderful but some of the repaints are kinda "just another...". Personal favourites are the ones that resemble their G1 styles but as upgrades, including Smokescreen, Tracks, Hound and Prowl. Gotta love the Ford GT mold though, in all four versions of it's pure supercar glory...

 

Well, with the 6 I have (Smokescreen, Sideswipe, Tracks, Prowl, Grimlock, Skids) and the one I've had (Jazz- returned because of SUPER loose arm)... Tracks and Skids win.

 

Shockwave/Laserwave. I love the mold and that use of the mold. Autotrooper is good as well, if you wanna count Kissplayers.

Tracks is #2 for the single reason he is my fav character, but the Shockwave is just so perfect as well.
