I know there's probably another thread like this somewhere, but Who would you class as the greatest transformer to have existed outside popularity? Which character, in your opinion, has done the most to influence their continuity? Would it be Animated Optimus Prime, for leading his rag-tag Autobots to victory against the glorious Decepticons; G1 Megatron for rising from nowhere to change the status-quo & conquer the planet. Or would you say Optimus Primal has done the most to save Cybertron, against his nemesis; who himself managed to enslaved the entire populace? Any influential character. Any continuity.
I'd say Optimus Primal for the greatest 'Leader'. He won the Beast Wars and saved Cybertron from becoming completely Technologic and he saved the lives of those who had had their Spark taken away. He also sacrificed himself to do so.
Optimus Primal for sure. He was slightly a better leader than Prime. You could make an argument for Dinobot too.
wheeljack for best scientest. even though some of his inventions dont work, the ones that do are legendary. (dinobots, immobilizer...ect)
Yeah, he (& his clone) did rob Megatron of two major decisive victories. Ah, he did make the Dinobots; good thinking!
Yup. It was originally (in the story) Technorganic, then it lost the "organic" part and become entirely Technological, but after a few "vision quests" and epiphanies, Optimus Primal eventually fought, and succeeded in turning Cybertron back to it's Technorganic state.
Optimus Primal for sure. Prevented the Vok from destroying the Earth. Housed Prime's spark to make sure he did not die. Help prevent the Nemesis from destroying the Ark. Sacrificed himself to defeat Megatron to liberate Cybertron and free the sparks of both Maximals and Predacons on the planet.
Alternity Black Convoy. The scale the Alternity work on makes anything any other Transformer has done seem petty and small. Though Vector Prime has done his fair share as well.

Optimus Primal. Considering he only lived for just over 300 years, not millions like most other TFs (from G1, for example) he acheived more in his lifetime than anyone else.
I like to think my characterization of g1 Big Daddy is the greatest, for you see, he did rip off bruticus' head with his own foot but in all seriousness, Beast Wars Dinobot
